- Triangle - Triangle (1969-70 france, Psych,Folk,Glam,Proto Prog Rock)
The short five years career of Triangle (1969-74) was very intense, starting with this first album (the most famous of the three) and released in 1970 containing their biggest hit, "Maybe tomorrow ".
Triangle was, along with Martin Circus Variations and Zoo, the groups that revolutionized the history of rock music in France in the early 70s. Formed by Papillon (bass, vocals), Jean-Pierre Prévotat (drums), François Jeanneau (brass, keyboards) and Marius Lorenzoni (guitar)
Their self titled debut is ann extraordinary album, in this 2010 Vinyl replica issue, are included bonus from their first two 1969, 45” and the single version of "Blow Your Cool", also the English and Spanish versions of "Maybe tomorrow".
Triangle released three albums, which probably fall in the proto-progressive category. Generally they make guitar-dominated rock with slightly above average rhythmic complexities and changes in tempo in melody.
They do veer off in various directions, psych, folk rock, classic guitar rock, touches of glam rock, proto prog, some nice and some less nice (i.e. schmaltzy) ballads. This album is one of the gems of French rock music.

First guitarist was Pierre Fanen in 68 but he decided to join Zoo, so Papillon and JP Prevotat recruited Alain Renaud who was in Crystal Tears, but he only made a single with it. A demo of a second single with him was recorded but was refused by record company who estimated not enough commercial, so Alain Renaud decided ro leave the band and founded Tryptique with Didier Batard on bass (later with Coeur Magique, Bahamas, Heldon) and Clement Bailly on drums (later on Nemo, Magma). He was replaced by Paul Farges who only made a single with Triangle, Paul Farges left and joined Chico Magnetic Band, Century). In 71, Pierre Fanen who had left Zoo was nearly joining the band but he changed his mind and played for variety singer Michel Delpech and founded the band La Galère, with future Motus members (Coeuriot, Papiri, Combelle). Finally, Marius Lorenzini joined the group, he was a member of Gardians that he left to play with Barney Willen on LP "Dear Prof Leary". Gardians became Eden Rose and to replace him on their planned LP, they recruited ex Systeme Crapoutchik's guitarist Jean-Pierre Alarcen. After the 2nd album, Papillon left the band and made a solo LP with Voyage's members. It was planned to found a band with him, the Voyage members and female singer Marie who was also Papillon's girl friend. Finally, it failed as Marie had a commercial hit. The music of the band was announced in the vein of Jefferson Airplaine. Voyage had made 4 singles and was a prog rock band with 2 guitarists, a singer/sax/flute player, an organist, a bassist (later with Magma) and a drummer. Finally, Triangle spliited in 73, Marius Lorenzini founded Edition Spéciale, JP Prevotat joined Magnum and François Jeanneau made several jazz albums.

Belo disco
SONZAÇO ! 👊 🎸 👊 🎸
Jhon,vaya portada mas antimusical,pero original y transgresora
another fantastic album from you. TY much. Reminds me of Bowie
I saw & heard fountains of chocolate milk gush from her paradise, without laughing the stars began to chat and ceased to scroll and we to grab hold of their golds at dawn. The sun was dizzy and the moon, stirred, hid behind a section of clouds in the shape of a barbapapa 🦄
You're not supposed to eat those mushrooms.
