    I got a chance today to try out my new rotary cutter from Titan Implements model number 1204. I bought it from Bob's Tractor, in Mcewen, TN (Dealer). I was super pleased at how the tractor and cutter were so perfectly matched. Just like Bob said. It never bogged down once even in very thick 4ft weeds, grass and young trees.

    I just bought that exact cutter! Haven't had a chance to use it yet. Also waiting for the chains to come in to the dealer.

    • @MatthewSchrenk
      @MatthewSchrenk Před 6 lety

      There are two pin hole options for attaching the top link. I see that you used the one closer to the tractor. When I moved it like that I bent the U shaped pin that holds the top link on the tractor when I lifted it up. I was going to use the far pin slot in the future.

    • @MatthewSchrenk
      @MatthewSchrenk Před 6 lety

      Yes, I was talking about the pin on the cutter.

    Always fun to watch you work that LS MT125. Wish I had that kind of work to do but then again it will take you a day to get the old girl cleaned up and shiny again.
    Great video and thank you!!

      Well good news on your back getting better and the jogging around you got in that field was like a good visit to a chiropractor. You did well with getting the job done for your friend and getting your back fixed. Yea, I was thinking about the hours rolling up on your machine but you take good care of it and certainly use it. It makes me feel good about my tractor as you work your machine much harder then I have the opportunity to do and you have hand really no issues or real break downs. The little issues that you have had to deal with were not necessarily defects but just problems that show up with time. Gives me more confidence to go out and use my tractor when I get the chance. Take care my friend and thanks for the videos and showing us what our tractors can truly do. Best regards, Lisa

    Man, the LS MT125 did a fierce job. I did several days of bush hoggin and I would have loved having no dang trees so I could move like you did in the field. I got a 4ft rotary cutter that the dealer offered (Hardee) and it did very well. I saw you hit some rough areas but it was not too rough for that LS MT125 or the driver. You rode her hard. Yep, like you said below to Joe......the judges yelled out "10" (smile). Great video. Super congrats on the 1k.

    Great video, Tony! I bought a similar cutter for my MT 125 today, it's a bit lighter than the Titan (30lbs) but I'm a little worried about the weight issue now...I don't have a front loader yet, will have to get some weights.
    Cheers from Brazil, Tony!

    Do you think it would take a 5 foot cutter? And how long did it take to do those 3 acres?

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Před 2 měsíci

      No, I don't recommend a 5-ft cutter for this unit. It will be like the tail wagging the dog. There are times that a 4-ft rotary cutter on the hillside is concerning. That video was taken a long time ago, but I believe I talked about the time in the video.

    Hey Tony,do you think that the mid mud mower will do the job on fild like that or is to much for it?I'm planning to buy the mt 125, and let it work on 5000 meters land of my own almost exclusively cutting grass like that on the video.Thank you from Greece Kostas.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Před 4 lety +1

      I don't recommend cutting more than about 3 inches off at a time. It will burn the belts off. The mower is not as strong as the tractor. 😁

    @jimerig1343 Před 6 lety

    Well now! sweet little setup there! Now that you have a brush hog and seeing how you were thinking of trading in your trailer for a dump, DONT DO IT! Thought I should mention, its impossible to load a brush hog in a dump trailer!

    • @jimerig1343
      @jimerig1343 Před 6 lety

      You are going to want both, the brush hog is just to long to load in either direction on a dump trailer unless its a custom built one like Tractor time with tim has. Even with a lowpro like mine it ends up scraping on the ground before the tractors back wheels are on the ramps. These little tractors cant lift very high.

    What engine rpm do you run when Bush hogging? I have the exact same set up and I was curious.
    Also, have you had any issues with the electric pto engaging kinda hard? I've had the grade 2 shaft shear bolt shear from just engaging the pto at idle. That's my only issue with my mt 125. Wish there was some way to get a softer engage.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Před 3 lety +1

      Each brand of tractor has a 540 RPM mark, letting you know how fast to run the engine to reach the required 540 PTO RPMs. It is not an exact science. 520-560, and you will be fine. Find your tractor's sweet spot.

And it must be heavy made if it feels like it would make it light in the front when they cut with the loader on the Kioti make it a little ruffer to cut so they like to take it of but i like to leave it on to help knock down the weeds ! have a great weekend !! You should raise your bucket up about a foot and a half and it would cut down on your radiator screen getting as clogged up. The bicker would then block the seeds on top of the weeds.
