- This is something I thought I'd never do but the truth is that it's a commission for the S3 mix BUT the S3 theme uses the S2 theme underneath so it makes sense to make this version first and layer the Proteus 2 stuff later on.

Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining, what a tune. I still remember that shot of the sun shining so well.
When I was a kid, before I'd heard "Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining," I always imagined the lyrics for the part that ends, "But if at first you don't succeed then...understand," were actually, "Look at those twins, they're causing mischief...Bill & Ben!" I had an imaginative mind as a child. :)

With all honesty, the songs hold valuable lessons for kids (and adults for that matter). I can think of very few children's shows now that have as well written moral messages as the kids shows back in the 90s and earlier.

Pretty much, Bill and Bens theme (S2) is a rendition of Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining, but done in the 1980s!

I like Bill and Ben because their mischief is what makes them endearing. Bill and Ben may not be as wise as other engines like Edward and Toby but they're not malicious or mean spirited like Devious Diesel.
