Leanne was sooo underscored throughout this, and UGA was definitely over scored throughout it (home turf advantage, I know). I want to see Riley score well but with that routine/dismount I can't see that happening. She needs to do what Maddie/Kyla did and water it down so she can make it smooth and easy to get a 10.
She should learn a double front that's prettier. And yes blind landing but that half turn at the end for a taller *"""tallee " gymnast like her she loses Lil deductions that ad up like no pointe toes most of the skill. Then maybe the shaposh half. She don't even need that.

I sometimes wonder about the way the chalk the beam. I feel there were a lot of balance checks and falls in the same areas from both teams. It's like paralle bars in mens gymnastic. Some times the chalk and honey don't mix

Just something I realized: often Alicia and John don’t agree in their points, and I think it’s because in mens gymnastics landing with your chest low is not normalized a common practice (because of bodily composition reasons). So John might be used to not deducting/getting deducted for it, while Alicia pays attention to it. This is not criticism btw, just an observation, I like their commentary.

World, champ, Olympic team members, junior and senior national and international elite members. Some overshadowed level9 and 10 gymnasts. Even some walkons. Its amazing the talent across that boars in NCAA gymnastics ever . but also national senior elite, a lot and many than was usual - European elite and other Continent's
