The word avatar is basically derived from Sanskrit version itself
Most of the European languages english included is derived from indo European language family the ancient branch of languages that are presently spoken in Most part of euproe,Iran and india
If you will look some words of english and Sanskrit they are very same
    Even Russian also
But the closest match of Sanskrit with another language is with Lithuanian
You should definitely look for it next time

    Hinduism in Anime:
    1. 'Avatar the Last Airbender' mentioned about Kundalini awakening. Even Aang's childhood friend who's an Earth Bender is named 'Bumi' which comes from the Sanskrit word 'Bhumi' which means earth/land.
    2. In 'Avatar The Legend of Korra', Zahir a self-taught Airbender, talked about a monk named Guru Laghima who could fly. Interestingly, 'Laghima' is one of the Eight Siddhis(Mystic power) that allows one to reduce his weight to lighter than the lightest.
    3. In Dragonball Z, King Yama, the God of Death, is inspired by Chinese mythology, but the word 'Yama' is a Sanskrit word from the Puranas. And in Hinduism too Yama is the God of Death.

13:49 Without reading the actual texts we cannot infer the reasoning. But from my own research online and asking my family members, it does seem the reason for Buddha being an avatar was to spread the idea that "don't stick to books and interpretations. Question everything (properly) and live peacefully" Because we were coming to an age where we started interpreting things incorrectly and should simply focus on a simple peaceful life instead. (Extremely simple explanation for YT I guess)

Don't be confuse because some ancient texts talk about 8 avatar of Vishnu, some ancient texts talk about 22 avatar of Vishnu... actually tha reason behind this is some text talk about Vishnu avatars in different timelines there are total four yugas in Hinduism dwapar Yug treta Yug Kalyug and satyug... And it keep repeating themselves in the end of each US the earth faces mass destruction.. show the some text talks about Vishnu avatars in different timelines of different yugas.. lekin previous huge the Vishnu would have taken 22 times Avatar... Before that he could be taken the avatar of 7 time or 8 time... Like this in this yoga Vishnu have taken total nine Avatar... People always get confused how the text can be talk about people always get confused how the text talks differently like some text talk about nine Avatar some talks about two outer some talks about 22 avatars.. Hinduism is very deep bro... You are at very beginning very very beginning

2:31 the avatar the Last Airbender is based on Buddhist ideals and Buddhism had its origin in Hinduism. Siddhartha Gautam or the Buddha who founded Buddhism was a Hindu prince. The origin of Buddhism is in India. Bodh Gaya the place where Buddha gained enlightenment still exists in modern India in the state of Bihar. Even you can find lot of inscriptions and rock edicts from that time which are now UN heritage sites all across India. It later spread to rest of Asia while it became very non existent in India over time

The last Airbender is sooo good.. I loved it as a kid and I rewatched it as an adult and it's just as good if not better! Depending on how old your kids are, it could be a good show to watch with them.. It has some violence/fight but no death (visually lol as an adult you're def about to deduct that some people died) but as a kid it's not noticeable. But the show is sooo deep❤ such a great show and alot of thought and time went into it.. even from the voice actor! Uncle Iroh especially the "Leaves from the Vine" sing
    Context (from Google)
Iroh sings "Leaves from the Vine" as he marks his late son's birthday by erecting a temporary memorial for him on a hill above the city where he died. Iroh tearfully sings to a portrait of Lu Ten this tale of a young soldier returning from battle - a fate his son would not share

I don’t think Buddha being the 9th Avatar is that much debatable, it totally makes sense, because Indian civilisation was getting really materialistic, and a lot of false spiritual idols hijacked the Hindu Ethos, a lot of voodoo & weird rituals were on the rise, so it was only natural of Vishnu to take birth and uproot all the pseudo spirituality and offer the human civilisation a new path forward

Most HIndus believe Buddha as avatar of Vishnu. We also have many Facts to prove this. You see Buddha was born with "Lotus" Mark on his Feet (Like a Tattoo). Lotus is commonly associated with Vishnu. Buddha was once guarded by a Several Hooded Serpent. Vishnu has the same serpent and he sleeps on it. Buddha Purnima (Holy day of Buddha) falls on exact same day as 'Vishnu Purnima" (Holy day of Vishnu).

I would say it's 97% accurate to the original and 3% is just loss which happens when one translate sanskrit to English. (That would happen in any language tbh.)

Anyways, regarding animal sacrifice. There is no animal sacrifice practiced in Hinduism. It is practiced in Tantrik though... mostly for Kali, Aiyanar (guarding deity) in some places. The ancient texts were translated literally to make it look like there was animal sacrifice in ancient times. Hindu Dharma literally preach non killing. As for Buddha, he was born a Hindu prince in a wealthy family. Upon seeing people of different caste's living different standard of lives, he left all his comforts and rested below the Bodhi tree and did penance. His tapasya (penance) was actually thaught by Shiva in the ways to reach enlightenment. Buddhism is generally Hinduism but Nastik.

Hi brother, regarding the right books for Mahabharat.
In the 1940s, the BORI, a research institute in India, started a mission to create a complete text of Mahabharat. For over 30 years they collected manuscripts across the country, recorded various versions across India. In 1970s they published the critical edition of Mahabharat in Sanskrit which contained over 60000 shlokas(couplets).
The books by Bibek Debroy are English translation of BORI critical edition. He is an excellent author and translator of these ancient texts and you can check out his other works as well.
Regarding buying those books however, I will suggest you to first get an idea of what happens in Mahabharat beforehand. Maybe through a summary or watching a short CZcams video. The reason is that Mahabharat is the world's text. The story is so deep that reading around 5000 pages directly may not be as effective. Plus the main focus on Mahabharat, in my opinion is not on the events but on the conversations between characters. So I feel that any beginner should first get a grip on the story, at least the highlights of the events, before reading the critical edition.

Nilesh Oak Podcast on TRS please
In ancient India.. or if we say before Mughals and Islamic invaders entered in India.. There used to be a debate.. The debate between state's or kingdom's prime minister at that time King was considered as teh President and has all the powers and a Bhramin ( again it's not based on birth it's based on action) used to be PM.. Bhramin guides the president to his best decision as Krishna guides arjuna.. At that time when someone with higher knowledge claims a different belief there used to be a debate called "Shastrat" which means a debate of Shastras.. The one who came with questions should be fully prepared with the verses and shlokas of Shastras that he/she rejects... The PM considered to be the best known person to recite vedas and shastras so he/she will answer it..
Talking about the Avtara part.. yes, I said it in previous video that all this is belongs to the Darwin's Evolution theory because many American scientist already said it many times that they were inspired by Hindu vedic text.. But they never said that they properly stole it from there.. There is a book in Sanatan Dharma which is called " Surya Sidhanta", As i said about Nilesh Oak sir he described that how this book is still the most accurate scientific book related to astronomy...
In Indian homes there is a calendar normal calendar but even in this normal calendar the dates are mentioned with the time of sun movement, Direction and any kind of eclipse that's why most of the hindu religion followers follow that calendar because they got to know when and what kind of eclipse is coming and how it will affect our body... l

That is the only which i believe is the closest depiction of actual mahabharat. Although it is not in english but still you can watch with caption on. 😅😅 just to see the real emotion and understand each character and that is important because sometimes for you it might make no sense for any behaviour or something but ithis is how it used to be. I,ll suggest you to read "Geeta Press" publication Mahabharat to read, Vivek Debroy translated Mahabharat with his interpretation which is not good, because Ramayan - Mahabharat are our history, you cannot read History with interpretation. Because History is case study for us, so I'll suggest you to buy 'Geeta Press publication' "Valmiki Ramayan" and "Vyas Mahabharat"

Lord Krishna did say that he's unborn and imperishable for his divine source form (God Vishnu). For Lord Krishna being a Human Avatar of God Vishnu, has all the effects of nature on him just like other human beings (though maybe slow or fast). The same goes with Lord Ram.
Understand the concept of Hinduism (Sanatan Dharma), which says that even God's and their Avatar are bound by cosmic laws of nature, and though they can sometimes intervene with that if needed, the consequence for so is quite severe. 😑

While I applaud you trying to learn more about Santana Dharma. A note of caution or a something to be aware of while doing so: Please remember that sources from which you learn can influence your own narrative. In western universities funding for research into Indic/Vedic subjects has historically been funded by far left leaning institutions, which influence how they are able to portray Indic subjects including Santana Dharma as per directions of funders with deep pockets. There are a good few names in western institutions like Harvard, Oxford etc. who regularly make a living out of demonising the Deities of Sanatana Dharma and their teachings in the name of free speech. The writings of such folk will certainly have a very different angle to someone who is truly non biased and will most likely not be associated with institutions, political agendas etc. Also writings of someone who is not writing solely to pay their bills or for 15 minutes of fame tend to have more "lived experiences" which can benefit a sincere seeker.
You might resonate with the writings Sir John Woodroffe (aka Arthur Avalon), an English lawyer who in 1915 served as the Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court in West Bengal, India, and who along with his wife was a practitioner of Sanatana Dharma, particularly the worship of the Divine Mother. As far as knowing more about the stories of the Puranas you can find comic book collections of Amar Chitra Katha based on Indic legends and epics, historical figures and biographies, folktales etc. This will be much more easier to make a start in digesting and committing to memory various storylines, before jumping into books dealing with Vedic concepts and ideas. Most Indians start out with this or via TV series (in regional languages) based on these topics. Next I would suggest books written by masters of different Dharmic traditions of Ashtanga Yoga, Mantra Yoga, Bhakti etc. where their lived experiences are shared, which will help you realise that these stories and epics are to be lived and experienced and not just read about. Some such books are Sri Aurobindo - Savitri, Life Divine. Om Swami - If truth be told, Ancient Science of Mantras. Sadhguru - Death. Yogananda Paramahamsa - Autobiography of a Yogi. Sri M - Apprenticed to A Himalayan Master.
    All the best!

Krishna and in previous avatar he was lakshamn the brother of lord ram as krishna avatar was taken after avatar of lord ram so lakshamn should also be mentioned as the avatar of Lord Vishnu has 👀 seeing. In real u see the picture where lord vishnu is lying and sometimes take a nap 😴 on a snake 🐍 Called seesh nag he is the avatar of balram not vishnu ji.
Conclusion- Sugata avatar is the lord vishnu 9th avatar not gautam buddha
    2) Balram ( brother of krishna) and lakshman at previous avatar as small brother of lord ram who is the seesh nag the gaint serpant king! 👑
