Hecz what if they did different sections. Like dallas and chicago, toronto and seattle, paris london, LA *2, and NY, miami. so the players dont travel so much. Split it up so each side plays the other. Winner of NY Miami plays the winner of London Paris, and so forth. creates more matches but not too much. restoring the amount of tourneys played offering not too much but smaller to large tourneys. The two best teams play winner sits at the top while all the other teams play a loosers bracket 1L you're out for the Grand final. aka the new champs.

Clay is a legend in the scene who, on the surface, appears to have been mistreated in roster changes throughout CoD's competitive history. Glad to see him in a good place these days.

@Rain In July what points did he not hit? He was spot on IMO. I grew up off CoD. I'm 24 now and this game is fucking dead because of Lack of competitive gameplay. They coulda had me on CoD for the rest of my life, instead I swapped to PC for games like Counterstrike and Siege. CoD has been fucked for a long time now, purely because of a lack of competitive play. You should not HAVE to go to a 3rd Party site to play the game competitively, period. Of course 3rd party sites are most likely going to be more inclusive with better talent, but for the layman- they need to be introduced to it.

I'm 37 years old... Been gaming for 33 of those years pretty much everyday. I just started streaming 8 days ago, everyday I've seen growth. Clayster is right, just do it... My years of gaming and chatting with friends has developed a natural entertaining space for some to enjoy. I will stream everytime I play this decade. :)

I think to “go pro” there needs to be a ranked mode. In league of legends the main recruit pool comes from Solo Queue. I think that’s the best way to do it along with the amateur tournaments because it’ll eliminate the “who you know”. A lot of players don’t get a chance because they don’t know who else to team with. CoD needs a ranked mode ASAP FOR EVERY GAME
Ernesto Sanchez wven when CoD has Ranked, like Bo4, there is a bigger emphasis on pro points/GBs/Wagers. The devs actually have to support comp and the top __ players from ranked get a chance to go to a qualifier similar to LoL, but that doesn’t happen.

I still think Advanced Warfare had the best customisation of any cod to date. They had armour rewards for ranked play, literally bronze, silver, Gold and Diamond Armour to wear and show off how good you are. PLEASE BRING THESE TYPES OF REWARDS BACK!!!

Hecz. Do you think there will ever be a draft like in other pro sports? It seems like having a draft system is something that will be needed. I'm not suggesting a lot of people need to be drafted, but seems like there could be good potential for this. A lot of colleges are offering scholarships for E-Sports, and I have noticed high schools starting to offer it as a lettered sport.

What Clay is saying about Pro Player input throughout the development cycle really makes me want to give that a shot, and see just how different an FPS can be if it’s competitive and truly skill based by design. Gentlemen Agreements should be a thing of the past, and would never fly in traditional major league sports.

Love the podcast bro! Although feel a little let down on this one.. It had huge potential as clays story/career is so unique/important to Cod but I feel he wasn’t given a chance to share his story properly which is a shame. Few topics of conversation like 6050 isn’t really necessary.
I agree I wanted to know more about his move from FaZe and becoming a franchise player for EU maybe touch on some of the JKap stuff from last year. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the episode but, it was just talking about the state of comp COD
Yeah that’s what I mean man. I feel like this would be more suited to a second podcast with clay. His story is so interesting it just felt a bit underwhelming. I’m sure they’ll do part 2 and go into it though hopefully!

Those teams that make the subs feel apart of the team and use them correctly for different strats or to mix up the series will be the best teams in the league. If everyone feels apart of the same team making mid series changes shouldn’t affect chemistry.
