Your New England fans are gonna zing on the clam chowder, so let me be the first. New England style is the creamy one, Rhode Island style is the clear broth, and Manhattan is the tomato broth.
Hit up the Parker Omni House for the original Boston Cream pie, it's really worth it!

Come back and go to Bovas (a bakery that’s been around since 1926). When my parents got married (in the 80s), they spent part of their honeymoon in Boston. They had Bovas pastries every morning. I’ve been going to Bovas my entire life and I consider it to be more important in New England than Dunkin Donuts and Tom Brady combined.

Boston is my hometown. Lived there since 1985. You stayed in tourist Boston and then only scratched the surface of that. Union oyster house is the oldest restaurant so you have to go there but there’s better chowder elsewhere. I love blackbird donuts but they’re pricey. There’s so much to do in Boston you’d better reserve three days for your next visit.

As always a good video, but a little short on facts and time. I can't imagine you would go to any major historic city in another country and only spend one day and only try one restaurant and one donut shop. Other parts of Boston, just a mile away from Government Center include Paul Revere's house, the Italian North End, the South End, Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Charlestown, Chinatown, Bunker Hill, and the Boston waterfront; all that by foot while a couple of miles out by subway system, Brookline, Newton, Quincy ,Cambridge, all within a half-hour at-most subway ride. Also, for you food folks, literally HUNDREDS of restaurants of all ethnic varieties from authentic Italian, Chinese, Soul food, Kosher food, the list goes on and on.

They were on a time constraint. They weren't just going to Boston. As they were working with Greyhound for this series, they probably only had a limited amount of time that they could do this little road trip. Can't always fit everything you want to do in one trip. They said themselves there was a lot more they wanted to see and that they'd be back. Instead of being condescending, a better way to write your comment would've been to just suggest all of those things for the next time they go withOut the attitude :)) ☟

As far as cider donuts go, best recommendation is to head to western MA or to many of the orchards in Vermont. They usually fry them fresh right in front of you so you can pick up warm, crispy donuts. It's incredible!
Also, if you want to catch a view of the city, go to the Prudential Center, you can eat at Top of the Hub on the 52nd floor, or you can do the sky walk on the 51st and also learn some history.

Honestly the boston cream doughnut is more popular in boston than the pie. If you are ever in town during the fall you have to go apple picking and get the apple cider doughnuts from an orchard.

If you have the time it would be really helpful to tell us how well restaurants can feed people with allergies and intolerances. I was looking at the cornbread wondering if it contained any wheat or whether it was just corn.
It is really hard travelling when you have a restricted diet so it would be super helpful to know how well places can cater for your special requirements.

Add Lobster Bisque to the menu, next time you visit. It's my favorite! And make sure to set aside a day for beautiful Cambridge. 😀

Union Oyster House.👍👍👍👍 Chowder = Rich. People used to bring beanpots to the Baker on Saturday to have them put in the ovens. Real Boston Cream Pie is a more like cake. Boston = expensive. Boston cream reminds me of English custard. Boston can take a week. Augusta? Why? Should have stayed on the coast and splurged on a lobster. Best lobster in the world.

Blackbird, Kanes and union Square have to be some of the best donuts in Boston. Lol you were right next to Parker house earlier which is known for original boston cream pie. Next time you visit you gotta visit salem too it's right across the harbor the ferry is a quick easy way. The seafood in salem and Boston have some of the best I've had and that's compared to Alabama and Florida too.

You should do the Samuel Adams Tour it's free and they give you beer samples, it's also just a cool place to hang out after hours and try the exclusive experimental beer flavors they have only at that location.
