This is lore accurate actually, the reason why she's so mean to Venti is because he wasn't around to stop the war that killed her beloved, she thinks Venti wasn't around because he was cruel didn't care about his subjects, that's what set her on the Tsaritsas whole usurp the heavens scheme, however the reality of the situation was that prior to the war Venti had been cursed to sleep so he literally couldn't do anything about it and by the time he woke up she was already in the Icy mommies clutches and why would she tell her the truth.
why and by who was he cursed?
@@nezuzuko We don't know yet, we just know that like most everything else It happen around 500 years ago when Khaenri'ah fell but don't know If It was before or after because It's specified that Mondstat was attacked by the abyssal monsters created by Albedo's "mom" which we don't have a date for and not the Abyss order that definitely was created only after the fall.

@@nezuzuko Maybe but he definitely doesn't recognize her, before she kicks him in the balls she calls him "the resident rodent" and he responds by calling her "an Invading vermin" which isn't true Mondstat Is her nation and If he knew they were the same woman he'd probably be a bit more empathetic.
