  • Logic of English Foundations is an amazing Language Arts curriculum for PreK-2nd Grade. This video is a lesson walk-through of the Foundations B program, which is designed primarily for Kindergarten. This level could also be used for a PreK student that already went through Foundations level A, or could be used for the beginning of 1st Grade. During this video, I share an actual lesson and share samples of the program.
I am a homeschool mom of three, and I have used every level of this program, as well as their separate handwriting book.

Thank you for this video! We are thinking of starting at level b for my 5 year old (6 in August) so it's very helpful to see what is actually in the book by doing a lesson! Thanks!

I'm glad it helped! B is perfect for 5 years old. I just finished B with my middle child. She is also 5.

@@homeschoolpeace I decided to just start with A bc I was thinking what if she missed something...the what ifs set in. So we are on the first week of A and she is loving it, easy so hopefully builds her confidence and it will be easy going until we get to B. Plus I could use A with my almost 4 year old... eventually...

Thank you for reviewing this program. I was on the fence about using it with my Kindergartener, but after seeing this review, I will definitely be adding it to our homeschool.

How long more or less, should each lesson take?
Also is this curriculum designed to be done 5 days a week?

Hi, I have a six year old in kindergarten, he knows his short sounds and starting to blend. He can write his uppercase and lowercase letters. If I decide to go with this curriculum, I’m not sure where to start. Can you help me?
    Thank you in advance!

Hi! When my son started Foundations A, he could already read early readers. He knew his short and long sounds of vowels but didn't know things like the third sound of the phonogram A, or that the phonogram S had two sounds.
We still started with Foundations A. We moved quick and slowed down in levels B and C. It was a nice review on some things but there were still things he didn't know that was introduced in level A. I was glad we started at A!
Here is an article that may help- support.logicofenglish.com/hc/en-us/articles/360045216531-Starting-Foundations-With-Children-Who-Are-Already-Reading
There is also a placement test in the article to see if you could start at Foundations B.
I would consider starting with Foundations A, but the placement test should give you a good idea too!
      I hope that helps!
