  • Here is a less common, but very traditional way to attach a knife sheath to a belt. A belt frog is a strap or loop usually made of leather that is used to hang something from your belt.
I am always working on building something and try to average a CZcams video once a week. Most often leather work, but I have also posted videos on black smithing, knife making, casting, and even how I make soap. Regarding the stitch, in Persia craftsmen used always to put in one wrong stitch, because "Only Allah is Perfect!" 👍👍👍😊🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Excellent. I wonder if a frog would work on a horizontal sheath.

It should work. Just have to make sure the balance point of the knife is under where the frog is attached to the belt. If it is too far to one side or the other the sheath will want to tip. And as usual with a horizontal sheath you will probably want a retention strap to keep the knife from falling out.

A little veg oil on a rag and applied to the edges sure makes the edges burnish with a loud clicking sound.
