With the room you had with your kids on 30th floor the hotel didn’t care about whether you got the family specific rooms vs the regular deluxe? I myself have 2 toddlers 5 and 3 but don’t want spend the extra $900 for the family rooms due to occupancy rules (looking to stay for 7 days)

We booked through amex travel, the hotel knows how many people were in our party. Regular was what we paid for.
