    Hey coach, I want to fully commit to baseball and go D1, even further if God allows. I’m 14 (turning 15) and going into my freshman year. I’m definitely subscribing and going to be using this channel and the resources you provide for the next 4 years. Thank you.

    Hey Coach,
    I had gotten injured twice, torn labrum in both shoulders. My injuries were timed terribly, the first one happened senior year, and the second one 4 games into my freshman year at a D2.(New Mexico highlands)
    I originally signed to a juco right after highschool but felt as I came in injured I was put on the back burner, transferred out.
    I felt, as a freshmen I could have held my own. (My coach didn’t get his contract re-newed at the 4 year)
    I took a year off and now I’m going into my r-soph year at a juco… last chance really, if I sign any level lower than d1, I do know my clock stops at a d2 and lower with me taking the year off.
    I’m undersized 5’9 165 (OF)
    Not a blow away guy but I always played (not 5 o’clock)
    Injury took me away from being exposed, I have one year left at this juco… any tips on how to maximize exposure through this final year of putting myself out there?

    I want my son to play D1. He’s 3 lol. But I was never physically gifted, but I know hard work and I’ll teach him.

      Have fun with him, train, and get him around good athletes. He will improve the most with those three factors

      Protein like chicken and steak. Oatmeal for carbs and protein shakes. Try different fruits to see why you like.

    I’m 5’11. 181 About to be a jr in high school. Went to show case and ran a 6.51 Hit 94 off tee and threw 90 from the outfield. What metrics do I need to improve to play D1 baseball?

    How long do you typically have to decide once an offer is made by a school?

    • @RecruitingwithAlex
      @RecruitingwithAlex  Před 3 lety +2

      Depends on the school but many give you as long as you want. That said, you need remember you are not the only one they are recruiting and they can't wait forever. You can always ask when would they like a decision by.

    How does graduating HS with 2 years of college credits affect recruiting? My son is currently a freshman in HS, but is planning on completing his AA along with HS.

    How many swings should a high school player be taking each day to play beyond high school at any level? Thanks.

    • @RecruitingwithAlex
      @RecruitingwithAlex  Před rokem

      There is not a number. Think of quality swings. You could swing a lot but if it’s a bad swing you are reinforcing a bad swing which will hurt you.

    As a freshman and a pitcher is it better to play at a smaller D1 college that doesn’t win a lot. and be one of their top 3 starting pitchers or closer…or go to a power 5 conference school and play less than 20 innings as a freshman?

    • @RecruitingwithAlex

    Can a D3 school who has set scholarships for all students give more scholarship money or take some $ off room and board each year to make college more affordable?

    • @RecruitingwithAlex
      @RecruitingwithAlex  Před 3 lety +2

      So D3 schools do not have athletic scholarships available but they do have academic scholarships that the school can give to the student-athletes if they meet certain academic standards.

    • @settlethetrades
      @settlethetrades Před 3 lety +1

      Right thanks...I guess I should have asked if you've seen D3 schools get creative to give a baseball player more than the standard academic they give other students or if you've seen them be able to reduce room and board fees for an athlete to make it a better package?

    • @RecruitingwithAlex
      @RecruitingwithAlex  Před 3 lety +1

      At 13 the top things you want to focus on are repeatable mechanics and commanding your fastball. Also, get in the weight room and long toss. You do that your velo will come.
