Beautiful and informative video! American crows over here are similar in some ways, different in others. Most of the time, their body language is clear, but I should pay closer attention to their behavior to see if I notice more nuance. Amazing footage, as always -- I love the clip of the parent pulling the baby's tail feather!

I’ve noticed some Corvids pecking their perch when they get frustrated. Like magpies for example.
Oh yes, that should be in there too. I see it here too all the time.
Maybe I will make a video about "frustrated" crows :-). They get frustrated so easily!

I wonder if those male/female calls are particular to the region. I have never heard either call (@ 3:25 -ish) here in Wien, that I can recall.
They are unique to each couple, you will not hear the exact same coming from another couple. With the male and the female having each a different "phrase". It's a bonding call so you can hear it more during spring time.

Wie erkennt man das Geschlecht der Krähe?
Äußerlich sind sie schwer zu unterscheiden. Bei Krari und Kruu kann ich sehen dass der Schnabel bei ihm größer ist als bei ihr. Sonst am spezifischen Gesang und daran dass sie während der Brutzeit mehrere Wochen nicht zu sehen ist weil sie brütet.

Ich finde solche Videos mit Beispiel-Situationen sehr hilfreich. Was auch toll wäre, wenn man die unterschiedlichen Laute ,Rufe, und Krächzen nochmal erklären könnte. Ich hatte mal in einem Video aufgeschnappt das so ein sanftes Gurren oder Schnarren nur innerhalb von Familienbande von Krähen gemacht wird. Deshalb mache ich dieses Geräusch auch bei meiner Lieblingskrähe. Ich versuche ihr damit zu signalisieren:"Freundschaft" oder "Familie" Aber sie guckt mich dann komisch an und ich weiß nicht ob das Geräusch richtig ausgeführt habe. Und Blöderweise höre ich das Geräusch auch wenn eine Krähe zur Brutzeit einen Bussard verscheuchen will in der Luft......
