    Can After Effects do 3D Matte paintings?

      +Anson It can to an extent but ae has a "fake" 3d space so i think its more of a 2.5d matte painting

      Anson Channel My answer was a bit vague but to be honest i cant give a really good explanation... all i can suggest is if you are pretty keen for matte painting start looking at using nuke and check out fxphd.com.. awesome website for learning VFX by industry professionals from around the globe... tho AE is a pretty good starting point but proper matte paintings need proper 3d

      Thank you so much for the info as I am into matte paintings too. I am now using Ae for compositing and I can feel its limitations on camera projections.

    The angle of the house view is below ground level
