10:19 yeah I didn't use enough either even though I shoved a great big nut into the nose as you did. I had to drill out the back of the prop spinner and jammed a small piece of lead in and it's JUST enough to keep the thing on 3 wheels. Very nice build you have there.
Great build, ive just ordered the weekend version from Eduard, cant wait to build it!
finally some great close up of the finished model
Very clean build!
Although I'm not a fan of the P-39 in any way, I do like how it looks with the Russian colours. I'll have to keep my eye out for something Soviet from that era. Thanks for the inspiration!
p 39 is my favourite plane
Absolutely awesome work.
Great work on the P-39 mate! 👍
Nice, I like it!
Lovely, thank you for sharing.
Congrets with this masterpiece.....

Simplemente EXCELENTE !!!
Stunning. build 👍
Excellent: big fan of the P-39, congrats
Very nice work! I learned a lot by watching this. thank you
Best build of this aircraft I've ever seen👏👌
Was waiting for this since you posted that video a bit back
Lovely.
I'd also like to see a slower last bit of video so we can admire the work for longer Dawid. 🖒
Just slow the vid speed down to what you want. It's under the settings button.
Love the intro..a lovely build...
I like your style of modeling very nice
You should get a MIG-21 or 17, build it, and make a diorama with your F-4, like they were in a dogfight.
Thank you for great tutorial! Will use some methods in my building. Will you be so kind to tell what kind of sponge did you use for chipping from 8:16?
These sponges are added to a lot of aftermarket stuff by eduard and others. I have a lot of them now, it's good for chipping, or to mask of some areas like wheel wells, engines, air intakes or cockpit. Hope this helps
I understand that some Russian pilots loved flying the Bell P39.
John Burdis The P-39 was very useful to the VVS. Because they were an attachment to the Red Army, the VVS spent a lot of time doing ground attack and strafing runs where the nose-mounted 37mm cannon and four .50 cals came in very handy. The P-39 was not without its vices but it definitely fought well on the eastern front.
Don’t forget that many of the Russian aces flew the P-39. Down low where the lack of a proper supercharger, and stripped of some of it’s extra equipment the P-39 was a hot ship.
Bel avion. Bonjour d'en France.

I advise you to learn how to grind the rear edges of the wings. The wings are like flat boards in this model without minimal modification.
Beautifully done 39
Like it very much...well done.👍👍
After this video ? Im your new sub :-) Great.. got.no words
Wonderful!
That is a beauty of an aircraft. I really enjoyed watching the weathering on this one. Nicely done Dawid.
Started building the Monogram 1/48th P-39 about fifty years ago . . . maybe I should finish it?
Lovely build. Thanks for sharing.
And thank you sir!
JOB well done........
Nice job
Thanks!!
GREAT JOB!
Wow. Great work. Thanks for sharing.
Nice work!
Beautiful build as usual, my interest aroused just before turning in for the night I googled info on Soviet pilots that flew these aircraft. Awesome history lesson on these very brave pilots. Who needs to go to the computer when ya got a smart phone.
Thanks for sharing
👍👍👍😎😎😎
Awesome!
Nice and dirty!!!
Just a comment for
the algorithm
excellent
Very good work
Great build............But way too much streaking where streaking would never occur.
Isn’t the p-39 also the same as the p-400? I’m not sure, but they look the same. Amazing model! I love your videos!
P-400 is the export version, to Britain. They didn't want it so the U.S. took them back, sent most to Russia.
One thing that always puzzled me is most piston engined aircraft have the engine forward of the cockpit and are tail-draggers however the P-39 has the engine behind the cockpit but has a tricycle undercarriage!! Whats going on there?
The P-39 was designed to provide a platform for the 37 mm T 9 cannon. This meant the weapon had to be rigidly mounted and fire parallel to and close to the centerline of the new fighter. It would have been impossible to mount the weapon in the fuselage, firing through the cylinder banks of the Vee-configured engine and the propeller hub, as could be done with smaller 20mm cannon. Weight, balance and visibility considerations meant that the cockpit could not be placed farther back in the fuselage, behind the engine and cannon. The solution adopted was to mount the cannon in the forward fuselage and the engine in the center fuselage, directly behind the pilot's seat. As an aside I liken it to the gun bay of the P-38 Lighting. And lastly the P-39 was the first modern fighter in the USAAF to be fitted with a tricycle undercarriage.
Loved this little plane. The Russians loved their little cobras more. Only war bird I've seen with car doors. But what a big Canon she carries.
I think it would look better if you didnt put the battle of staligrad cammo
BTW it's Airacobra and not Aircobra
how do you like the MMP, would you recommend them over vallejo?
I don't really like Vallejo, I have some products but it's not best quality products. MMP are probably best acrylics
How do you get such perfect tape covers for your windows?
Eduard canopy masks. You can get them for a lot of kits. These one were provided with kit. Usually I buy them on ebay
@@ScaleHangar182 Thank you!!
Nce painting, however I do dislike those "bad joins" on the front of the fuselage....I think you can do (and have done) better then this.
Still a nice looking plane overall
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind!
Hey nice P-39! I like your dusty weathering it looks the part. I subbed the other day and am trying to engage with other CZcamsrs that have similar channels and interests. If you have some time pop on over and check my channel out. Thanks and keep up the great work sir!😀👊
I have just started watching your videos and I have learned some good tricks.
However this is not one of your better builds. I am sorry to say this, the model looks like a beginner model maker trying to copy what they see a master do. The white in the panel lines is especially unrealistic and distracting. I have a lot to learn about weathering my models, so I keep a picture of the real thing in front of me as I paint. Your other builds are night and day better then this.
I am not good at this kind of thing and I am very sorry if I said this wrong, and hurt your feelings, this was not my intention.
Nice
