I watched a video of a guy really putting them to the test and they do NOT work all that great. U have to have the car started and warming awhile for these things to be of any real use.

Nice hat! I've wondered about these funnel things, and the weather was a good test. But for me, being a shorter woman, it would be harder to clean the windshield middle with the cone. The traditional brush scraper has the long handle.

Sure, I’m sure it works well if you are six feet tall. I’m 5 ft 1” and I can’t reach the centre of the windshield to move that cone around. Maybe attaching the cone to a handle would work but you wouldn’t be able to apply the same force as you do holding the cone yourself. Might be good for my side mirrors..

I just use a cap off a spray paint can it’s fine to clean the windows start the car let it start warming up and go after it works this well or better.

We have one turn the nubs upside down scrap it a few times, then turn it over use big cone...live in Mansfield, OH we know snow and ice.

Best I’ve ever see are the more conventional ones with the brush on one end the blade is made from a .030 BRASS plate. They are hard to find, I pick them up at yard sales and and thrift stores. Amazing how well they work. If you can find one you too will agree. If I can buy one of the plastic ones I will test it. I have serious reservations.

Yeah but only half of the circumference (180° of the circle) get used for scraping in any one direction at once.

What was the temperature while scraping the ice? Really cold temps make that stuff stick to your windows like glue.
Youre better off pouring warm not boiling water on it then scraping

Maybe a person who purchases this doesn’t own a brush. Why would you use this instead of a brush. This is more affordable than a brush.

Only issue is I had to Super Glue the end piece on as it kept coming off.
Using in a circular motion works best. ( Wax on -Wax off ).
We got one but it didn't work at all. We had a thick layer of small ice crystals on the glass and nothing went off. A regular ice scraper was much better.

Did you not think to have the car running with air con max on screen? Personally I never clear my screen with a scraper I simply put the engine and air Con on a wait a few mins it will clear. Advantage is I can lock car and go back inside on my model, some lucky people can start car remotely.

Hard to hold. Doesn’t keep your hands from getting snowy. Can’t reach the corners. The spikes don’t scrape the window clean.

Waste of money use a regular scraper
Have a hose attached to your Water Heater -- and spray hot water on your vehicle after you warm up the windows a bit... OR jump dump hot water on your windows.... windshield technology is just fine with doing that... I've done it every Winter since 1992 and NEVER had my glass break....or crack... Parking in a garage works best!
