FAQs/Why would they do that?! Answers
We are so glad you are here! Welcome to our channel!
    1. We are in Oklahoma near the Arkansas border.
    2. We do this on a volunteer basis.
    3. Kim aka Mom is retired. Jennifer owns her own business as a massage therapist.
    4. We film multiple locations in one day since we can’t go out all the time given Jen’s full time job. You may not see all the locations we filmed that day in one video.
    5. You may see other people in our videos at times including Granny aka Sue (mom’s mom), Jeff (Kim’s husband and Jennifer’s dad), or Jessica (Jennifer’s little sister) and Lucy (our beautiful, amazing, wonderful dog).
    6. Many wonder why we put stuff down culverts. A few reasons: it provides help for wildlife, we like to and it would have gone downstream anyway. If it blocks another culvert then we will take care of that too but most of the locations we visit are in incredibly rural areas where there won’t be another culvert for miles.
    7. We care about wildlife and never want to cause harm to them. The only reason we will clear a beaver damn is if it is threatening land or roads that can not be accessed any other way. It may not be the road directly within sight but a farm road close by.
    8. We appreciate advice in the comments. We understand that we will receive constructive criticism in the comments. What we won’t allow is the calling of names, derogatory terms, or just plain calling us stupid or idiots. We are all adults here and the internet is already a largely negative place as it is, let’s not add to it. We are people doing our best to help our neighborhood and planet by picking up trash and clearing culverts. Why do we deserve hate for that?
    9. You may not agree with or like the way we did something but that doesn’t mean we did it wrong. There is a right/wrong way to dismantle a bomb. Clearing culverts is up for interpretation to the one doing the work.
    10. We hope that you enjoy our videos and will keep coming back for more! Any other questions you have feel free to ask in the comments.
The Super Thanks are turned on for anyone wanting to donate towards materials or fuel cost. We are grateful for anything you CHOOSE to give. Thank you for the views!
If you happen to see our content anywhere besides youtube, please let us know in the comments. We only have this content here for now and do not want it anywhere else. Thanks for your help!

This was a great episode! I loved those grooves in the road. I could see myself happily cleaning those out if I had a creek nearby. And, yes, it can absolutely be about culverts AND butterflies 😂 and the little fish we could see in the stream. And flowers too. That pink and purple flower near the bridge was an orchid. There's lots of orchids that love the "wasteland" soil and that was a BEAUT!

I Love Love Love your videos and the talking/description I wish we had culverts where I live instead I just litter pick where I live which is so very satisfying and has knitted our community together keep posting and talking it is so relaxing especially as I'm in the process of recovering from sciatica after a steroid injection I'm told not to lift, bend or twist I've converted my Zimmer frame to hold a litter sack and hoop so I can get out litter picking again... I'm so pleased I managed a 4 & a half hour litter pick today which normally would have taken me and my friend Linda 1 to 1 & a half hours

I wonder if a heavy duty ice scraper, mounted at the end of the potato rake, would help in clearing out those grooves in the low water bridges.🤔Ah, Kim, I can always count on you to find the best scenarios of brooks, creeks, trees and flowers bending down to the water tumbling over the rocks. Funny, in the US, a Ford across the road is just a crappy truck that broke down.
On a real note, here in town, a creek across the road is eventually an erosion hole cut through the asphalt.

One man started a a world wide sensation of unclogging culverts.
His net worth is well over $774,000 .
At a young age he used knowledge and will power to create moving waterways.
Its amazing to see young and old to jump on the bandwagon this one man started.
People from all over the world have adapted their spare time by getting outside and doing something healthy for themselves.
Amazing the amount of work you can achieve using a potato rake.

You've been back here several times and always have difficulty finding the inflow on the culvert. I have two suggestions 1) wait til water drops- then spray a fluorescent spot at the top of the culvert. or 2) shove a length of rebar into the water 2-3 feet straight out from the culvert. The next trip there would be more satisfying, not frustrating.

culvert 1 is popular for low traveled mostly private low flow 99 percent of the time. they have it open for easy cleaning and inspection shovel or pick axe and you good. also cheaper no pipes plumbing or water jetting needed. second and 3 ones need water jetting and/or special tools to clean most of the time and will need to be replaced.
