Hughes being franchise makes perfect sense. Heâs breaking almost all of Vancouvers defence man records at 23. He is also being compared to some of the old defence man greats. Med Franchise is appropriate
And he's the second best Dman in NHL and in world after Cale Makar. Fox or Josi don't even come close.
I miss when you used to go over prospects in jr's etc. Please do that in your next video. Your the GOAT for this.
I mentioned at the end of this one how I don't think they changed any ratings/potentials for non NHL players

Hughes is also rewriting the entire Canuck Dman record book.
As a big Nucks fan, I agree Hughes should be 94.
Petey is a playmaker fine at 92 or 93.
but JT Miller is a powerforward, definitely deserves 91 He has been their best player behind Hughes all year!
Hronek I agree is an 87
Lindholm has played like and 54-85 but i agree should be 86
Could you also do a video going over the ahl and important players in the junior leagues? I love these videos from you and hearing your opinions on players. Edit for clarification. I know ea hasnât done much to them I would still just like to hear your thoughts
Little disappointing that we didnât get any picture updates for the rookies. Itâs really hard to play EA NHL franchise modes because of this and the plethora of other features that are lacking. I always just assumed getting real pictures is the easiest thing to do. I mean ESPN does it throughout the year.

@@jj3a1 youâre right I shouldâve used better wording. It isnât physically harder to play the mode or game but it is much more annoying. Especially for something that would be an easy fix. Besides, Iâm not asking for real players to have fake pictures if they have to remain the greyed out pictures then so be it. That being said after ten years itâs pretty immersion breaking to see the league almost entirely have no pictures with no identity. I donât understand why youâre defending the decision to keep the game in a worse state.
Out of all the Sports games (I pretty much play all Franchise) I freaking love Hockey!!! (and I'm a black guy from DC lolol) however I did rock the red during our Stanley Cup Run!!! and Hockey by far is the best sporting event live!!! Grt8!! Great Vid man!!!

Robert Thomas and nick suzuki should be the same rated really close in stats let alone at Louis is a bit better of a team then Suzuki so both should be 89
Habs fan here. Matheson should not be a 87. I canât believe heâs rated that high. I think he should be 84ovr with good offensive stats. You could even argue a 85 for doing good on a bad team.
Also Suzuki should be a 89 if not 90. PPG and absolute wagon both ends of the ice
The Matheson rating is honestly fine I think. His game is criminally underrated defensively and offensively for a dman has been top 10. I'm not saying he's like Slavin on D but isn't like a DeAngelo. He has made some nice plays just us Habs fans remembering only the bad in his 25+ minutes per game. Still. How many defenseman can hit 60 points with 1 30g 0 ppg 3 20g? Maybe 10. So that makes him a top 10 #1 OFFENSIVE defenseman. Which to me puts him ahead of Montour and Riley. Around the Karlsson range.
Considering Petry is an 85 I think Matheson being an 87 is alright

When you making your own roster?
For drai I think a big thing of note is. When mcdavid was struggling this year drai wasn't even top 20 in points I think he was barely under ppg..
Then what do you know as soon as Mcdavid started going on a tear playing at like 2 ppg drai's ppg went up immensely.
This season has been so fun to watch, best season in awhile imo
Husso should be around 80-81. 82 max. Yes he was and still is injured but keep him at 80-82 for now. When he returns and proves he deserves higher rating then give it to him.
Also Annunen should be 81-82 overall.
Are they ever going to switch Berggren and Soderblom to default wingers?
Eh Matheson has been top 10 in scoring with over 60 points. Considering last year he was pacing around for 60 points as well I think it's fair. However I think its kinda a case like last years Karlsson where they thrive heavily with that ice time and there for get so many more points. But hes impressed me this year. Kinda like a Morgan Riley who I think is a 86-88 Overall defenseman every year.
I think byram deserves it tbh, he has been great for buffalo, hitting way more with buffalo also has been very good defensively for them. Offensively even way better being relied on more
demko being a 91 is absolutely justified, hughes in my opinion is 95 overall and petey grrr

Even before he was charged, Hart may have become expendable in their eyes during the offseason with the emergence of Samuel Ersson
Matheson has 62 pts in 82 games this year and 34 pts in 48 games last year. Bottom 5 team both years.

Really tough to judge a guy on 2 games. 79 I think fine cause by end of the season (where we are in real life right now) he'll be a low 80

Not related to the video but can somebody help me with this bug in franchise mode? When I get into a game I never have home ice advantage. Basically I have to shoot towards the bottom of the screen rather than the top. It never switches between periods like in real life either, anyone got any ideas?
if you play alone you should always got up so you probably changed something in your setting but i cant tell you more lol

There's a lot more to stats than point totals, especially if you're talking about defensemen.
All these 80+ players remind me of the old NHL rosters where everyone was so overrated lol

Hughes has been by far the best dman this year but he should be a 94 with franchise, petey 92-93, but Miller has to be a 91+ simply cause he has been the best player for the canucks outside of hughes, his defensive stats are insane shutting down mcdavid and other stars this year and his numbers are insane... I don't see how a player who has 290+ points in his last 3 seasons is less than a 91.
