I remember this incident where a kid was severely allergic to cheese and he got in a fight with another kid. The other kid thought it would be funny or intimidating to throw cheese at his face. The kid died at 10 years old. Never underestimate how allergic someone is. Even the smell of a certain food could set someone off. Edit: I do just want to clarify that the boy who threw the cheese did not know it would harm the boy. He probably just thought it would give him a rash or smth. It doesn’t excuse that behaviour but I thought I might clear that up.
@@Yura_64*not TEACHING him, and that's not entirely fair. Ultimately we're each responsible for our own actions, including children.
@@IzzyKawaiichialso, no matter how well children get raised parents arent perfect and neither are kids. Maybe the kid had some psychological problems or something mental going on. To this day, the BEST teacher I've ever had, was Mrs. Smith Robson. She was deathly allergic to perfume. A kid in our class brought axe body spray to school and emptied half bottle in the hallway outside our classroom to intentionally hurt her. 911 was called, she was immediately hospitalized and almost died. I broke his finger for it the next week and got suspended. My dad was so proud of me that he took me out for lunch every day of my suspension. My dad taught me to NEVER tolerate bullies and always stick up for anyone being bullied.. his advice resulted in me getting ABSOLUTELY sh*t kicked when I stuck up for someone a year later, but it was worth it. Dad then taught me how to box and the next time I saw some 12th graders bullying a 10th grader, I of course stood up for her and threw hands at all 3 of the shameless cowards. I ruined my prom dress in the process, but it was worth it. I also ruined their hair and makeup. Never be a bystander. Have honour, be brave and fight against those who try to harm others. Even if it means you get harmed in the process. Stand up to bullies.
You are an amazing person, and you put how to act towards bullies magnificently. If people lived by your words, the world would be great. Your dad is a hero. He raised an amazing person! Many blessings to you and your family.
I'm highly allergic to perfume and it triggers my asthma terribly. My old bullies in high school would always put a bunch on around me or spray me with it and I'd have bad asthma attacks. Once when it happened and I ended up in the nurse's office she'd said "You need to avoid it at all costs if you know it's a trigger" and I responded "It's kind of hard to when people are purposely doing it to give me asthma attacks." And she stared at me with the most serious look on her face and said "Do not EVER make an accusation like that, how dare you accuse your classmates of doing such a thing, you have no idea how serious that could be." Ma'am why do you think it kept happening? And why would I joke about it? Still makes me mad to this day
I wanna say I would've confronted her saying that that's what happened, but I don't know if I would've had the guts. I think I might be a bit of a coward in that regard.
Ah yeah I know that feeling. Got bullied my first 2 years of middle school by students and my teachers and the principle didn't believe that a teacher could bully a student. Luckily I got home schooled afterwards cause that school was about to have a lawsuit on its hands.
God that is terrible, I would always make sure to not spray deodorant around the asthmatic kids after sports I always went in the middle room between the two changing rooms (i was at an all girls school) or waited till they left
As someone with anaphylaxis to peanuts and tree nuts, I once had something like this happen to me. Kids brought Nutella to school and spread it in my desk so when I reached in I got a huge itchy rash, it was really bad. And it’s insane how inconsiderate some people can be. A girl that sat beside me was spraying almond perfume and asked “you're allergic to this right?” I said yes, AND SHED SPRAYED MORE ON HERSELF. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. Kids would bring food to school knowing 100% how allergic I am and not caring. This is why I’m scared of high school.
I have a friend who had something similar happen. She’s allergic to shellfish and her “friends” didn’t believe her, so some snuck a shrimp onto her plate under her food and she ate it and almost died. They apologized and paid her medical bills, but she’s never forgiven them. ETA: the “friends” were actually her husband’s childhood friends and for some reason, they assumed she was being dramatic about the allergy thing. He cut them off for a while but she gave him the ok to remain friends since it was a childhood friendship. He still talks to them and she will hang out with them, but the relationship is not what it was and never will be again. Hence why she never forgave them.
As she shouldn't, my sister is deathly allergic to many things, unfortunately, and one day, some idots thought it would be funny to wave some Kool-aid under her nose which contains one of the ingredients she is allergic to and made her cry out of fear. I nearly decked them right then and there😡. Allergic reactions, even if not lethal, are never a joke.
That’s usually how it is. Like I have the same allergy and if I find out I accidentally ate some i make myself throw up and take some beny and then drive myself to the hospital. Panic will only make things worst especially when the people around you are usually in a panic. Keeping yourself calm usually helps the situation and keeps everyone else calm.
for those wondering what happened to the nerd. He didn’t die and the bully actually apologized (yes the nerd forgave him) about what he did to him at the hospital and he said that he wanted to fit in and have a friend group just like his friends. Then the nerd invited him to a sci-fi convention, but eventually the bully is too scared to go.
Not everyone is perfect some of us are born different but that does not mean we have to be mean to someone we need more people like he was the only one who said god bless you❤😢🙏
Food is so fucking special to people. You don't realize that. You grow up with it. It keeps you alive. Once it's ruined for you, it's hard to ever feel the same.
Confirm, I used to do boxing and for years they had me with up and downs about my weight. Was 130 pounds at age 15 so they made me go down until I was 116 because I stopped eating and they noticed so now they wanted me to eat more. Then again at age 20 I was 105 pounds and they wanted me to get back to 130. Now I can't eat a lot because I think I'm gonna get more weight and start to panic by just having that thought. I'm 23 now and still weighting 105 or less.
Yes I am going through something similar. My relationship with food is destroyed now that I’ve had a few severe reactions. My epipen is my best friend. I have a breakdown if I go anywhere without it right by my side. Which is a little dramatic but I’ve almost died several times
That’s a REAL case going on right now. Some guys on a football team put peanuts in a kids locker knowing he was severely allergic to them and almost killed the kid. The school or cops did nothing so the parents took to social media and then news outlets picked up the story. I personally think they all should be charged with attempted murder. The really sad part is that family had to move because the community continued to harass the entire family (mom dad and two kids) because “they ruined the football season “. The bullying hasn’t got any better in schools imo. If anything it’s gotten worse.
Im going to be honest, I thought this comment was bullshit, but I looked it up, and holy shit. The players specifically asked their victim if the peanuts would him (he was their teammate, btw), before putting the peanuts in his locker. They also put a peanut granola bar in his locker after that. The school let the football coach and athletic director determine the punishment, then didnt even open an investigation until the mom took the info public, then determined it wasnt even bullying.. Those animals on the football team should be prosecuted for attempted murder, but instead, they were benched for a couple football games.. Texas is actually a joke for this.. They care more about highschool sportsball than the actual lives of their students..
Also, just in case any player on that team reads this comment, whether you put the peanuts in the locker or not, you are horrible people. I played qb in highschool, and if i learned one of my teammates pulled this shit, they would be removed from the team after getting a beatdown.. and if the team finds that acceptable you have a moral duty to leave the team. fucking disgraceful, and every kid on that team should be ashamed of themselves..
Harassing the family because their stupid sportsball season was ruined? These sorts of people should have their beloved team barred from competition just because they think their group of football players shouldn't be punished for almost killing a guy.
I suffer from panic attacks and the facial expressions and everything when he said “like peanuty crunchy” was good asf like that helpless feeling in public when u know no one around u can really help
Even though it’s just a show, this made me so sad. My oldest son is autistic and is a major sweet heart, he also suffers from several food allergies ranging from moderate to severe. This makes me fear for him, I hope nobody is ever this cruel to my children. My oldest got bullied at his old school, and it broke my heart. The actor in this scene reminds me so much of my oldest, so it definitely tugged at my heart strings. 😢
In case anyone was wondering, tampering with food like that can be considered a boobytrap which is actually a felony when you do it with the intent to cause harm. Another fun fact, doing this even if it was just to test I'd he has that allergy (even though it was to bully) is also involuntary manslaughter if he dies. If he doesnt die its premeditated murder and poisoning which would be 2 felony if he dies and 3 if he lives.
@@TheLazyVideoLenient my ass! Depending on the judge and how far the parents/lawyer wants to push it he can and will be tried as an adult held in juvi till 18 then chucked into prison…
Most likely gets a conviction of second degree murder if the kid dies, could push for first degree if it could be proved the poisoner had knowledge of the lethality of the allergy.
This is episode 13. The character Bill ends up in the hospital. Bill is okay after this. This ends up being a turning point for Alan because he didn't want to do anything serious to him, he just thought it would be funny. Bro the way he said "yeah" and 2 seconds after cut to him being in a stretcher is kinda funny 😂. But seriously though he looks so sweet and it sucks that they tried to kill him.
People forget that this takes place in 1980 when allergies weren't taken that seriously. There wasn't much awareness around food allergies. It was mainly just seasonal, medical, cat/dog, and bee stings that people were aware of. People started paying attention more when the EpiPen got FDA approval towards the end of the Reagan era

My sister( innher 30's ) didn't believe I had celiac disease and called it a " fake allergy" She worked at a restaurant and this is what they would say when someone asked for their meal to be prepared gluten free. I told her it would be a shame of the health department found out they weren't adhering to food safety guidelines. They were inspected 2 weeks later and they shut down the business for a lot of violations. Her daughter got extremely sick and was later diagnosed with Celiac Disease- because it's hereditary. My sister is now having to learn everything she can to keep her daughter safe. Karma?
Cool story about a petty squabble between siblings putting other people out of work. Do you know how often restaurant professionals do have to deal with fake allergies? allergies are no joke I can't believe the nerve it would take to do that
I remember this incident where a kid was severely allergic to cheese and he got in a fight with another kid.

I can’t believe the nurse said that 😢

Well the teacher asked him a question so
As someone with anaphylaxis to peanuts and tree nuts, I once had something like this happen to me.
"Yeah"
Bro went through all stages faster than Barry Allen.

I do have to ask, are you ok?
Anti-bullying measures are only enforced if those in power deem the "wrong type" is doing the bullying. Which, come on, rarely, if ever, is the case.
@@falseprophet1024to make matters worse, one of the players who took part in it is going on to play D1 ball at USC.
Harassing the family because their stupid sportsball season was ruined? These sorts of people should have their beloved team barred from competition just because they think their group of football players shouldn't be punished for almost killing a guy.

This makes me fear for him, I hope nobody is ever this cruel to my children. My oldest got bullied at his old school, and it broke my heart.
Juvie system is lenient. Suspended sentence and sealed history.

People forget that this takes place in 1980 when allergies weren't taken that seriously. There wasn't much awareness around food allergies.
