Constructed of die-cast aluminum, this AMP Research (75326-01A) BedStep Kit features a black anodized finish with a PFTE (Teflon powder) coating for extreme durability and corrosion resistance. This step has a lightweight and durable design. Included are stainless steel hinges and a ridged, non-slip step surface that is molded of strong glass-reinforced resin. This American-made step easily installs under your rear bumper so that functionality is not compromised by an open tailgate or a load being towed.

This doesn't make any sense the second you put your tailgate down its useless. It should come out to the side .
