Hi...i have a gardenia plant indoors now to overwinter cuz of thr harsh winter...all the flowers fell off and the stems webt brown...will the brown stems eventually turn back green in the spring/summer..it kinda looks like its starting to change in colour..i think it has very tiny buds on it also...thanks
I've had a gardenia on my patio for about 6 weeks. I was afraid to transplant it to a larger part because it had quite a few buds and I thought they would all fall off if I tried to transplant while it was flowering. They all ended up falling of anyway. The folliage looks beautiful and there is a lot of new growth. It's just that the buds fall off before they get a chance to bloom. I keep it watered and misted but no blooms. What am I doing wrong?
Jenny Sawyer really nice to hear from you. I m not an expert but in my experince plant get a little shock when it is moved to a new location. It will take some time like a few week to get out of the transplanting shock. For some other plants like tomotoes I use 1 aspirin in one gallon of water. It help to relieve the stress, shock and protects plant from different diseases. Try this suggestion I hope it help.
Thank you for your comment. I m in houston, Texas. Right now this plant is a lot bigger and flowering really good. Any flower fertilizer will work fine. Size of pot really matters when it comes to growth of plant. Cheers
Hi I live in Melboune Vic and would recommend Harrys Gardenia Food. It promotes strong healthy growth and copious flowering. It provides both slow and fast acting nutrients. Simply apply once in September, December and March (or more often if your plant continues to display many yellow leaves). regards john
Very aromatic flowers

You forgot to put drainage stones in the pots bottom!!!🤦🏽♂️
That’s not essential the pot already has drainage holes! No need to waste unnecessary time and effort for nothing.
Doesn't need them. Pot has drainage holes already. 👌👌

It will.
Try not to overwater it. Make sure you the pot is really dry before watering it likes a dry climate I would mist and little bit of water.
Are you in Australia? Yay!!! Can you please tell me what the fertilizer is called and where to buy. Many thanks for an awesome video
