    Q: With the troller, do you set FWD to take you in reverse? Or you just turn it in reverse? Like to see this on the water, specifically for fishing.

    • @Outdoor_Wanderer
      @Outdoor_Wanderer  Před 2 lety

      If you are referring to the minkota trolling motor it had reverse and forward. Check my other fishing videos and you can see the fishing setup and also you can see the boat on the water but with the 5.5 engine.

    How long does it take you to do the setup, now that you've had it for awhile? Nvm.. seen your other video, you have a trailer meaning you never deflate it..

    • @Outdoor_Wanderer
      @Outdoor_Wanderer  Před 2 lety +1

      I keep it inflated even during the winter and stored up in the garage and just lower the pressure. During the summer stays on the trailer. It is more complicated if you need to put back the floor. Inflation is fast.

      The motor I had it but the 25 one will push slow. Since then I got a 45 one from kijiji and is better. I think a Minolta 55 will do good. Last year at the end I got a gas Johnson 9.9 but that one is heavier and harder to transport. Some lakes are posted with no gas motors signs but electric should be fine.

      I have a 24 group battery from Costco and 45lbs trust motor. Now more the battery the better but I get more than 4 hours on mine. The motor is not going to be much faster from 30 lbs to 45 lbs but depends on how much you are carrying in your boat. Bigger load, more lbs trust will move you easier. But I ended up buying a gas motor to get faster where I want to go.

      There is a really good review of this boat by someone who has used it at sea. Apparently, quote "The Tobin Sports inflatable or Mirovia pro is well designed and well made bit of class C boat. Not D but class C so it’s designed and manufactured to a to deal with harsher water conditions. It is also legally certified to US coast guard standards, not just a CE stamp. Category C - Inshore: Designed for voyages in coastal waters, large bays, estuaries, lakes and rivers where conditions up to, and including, wind force 6 and significant wave heights up to, and including, 2m may be experienced. No license for the boat as long as you don't use a motor of 10hp or higher. But you need a operator license. It is around 40$ and you need to pass a test online. That is for Canada.
