- All ships must prepare for collisions here. If it's so dangerous, Why are people in Vietnam rushing through the Mekong River gate? The gate prevents seawater from flowing back in and stays closed during high tide. The limited time it stays open creates a strong current when it first opens. Ships must go full speed to avoid being caught by the reverse current and colliding with other ships. Despite the danger, they must pass through, or they'll have to wait until the next day if they miss the closing.

They could even make a tow boat for this exact reason if it's so impornt to rush through and risk getting trampled by a larger boat could build a flouting dock by the coast to to load and unload from there for larger companies who would have money to afford to transport stuff like that and park there boat there
