Battle Studies was the album that introduced me and made me fall in love with John Mayer. Continuum is a classic amongst classics but this albums holds a special place.

That’s funny because I think Battle Studies is probably one of his weaker albums, especially coming off the creative peak that was Continuum. Still has some great songs, though, including this one
In 50-60 years time, Continuum will be recognised as one of the most accomplished album of all time. Our generation's music journalists are more concerned about reputation than actual music.

Great lyrics that so perfectly describe what I at least believe is a necessary experience for most people. Knowing and loving your true self makes you strong. Then you have love enough to overflow into belonging naturally without that feeling of being drained or draining another.
