Thank you. This video helped me answer the question about why my wires wouldn't budge through the tubing.

I can’t get the old wire out of the long tubes, hurt myself trying. I’m assuming they put some sealant in the tubes to keep it from moving around.

    Use sealed LED lamps .
3M Scotchkote FD is a coating developed for underground electrical splices . Use separate ground wires and reflective conspicuity tape . Well done clear video .

Great video ! , I’m looking at the same trailer you have , one came online today and it says it needs all the lights rewired , your video is very helpful , I do have a question , I’m just curious if that trailer can be lifted up onto its rear end so that you could do all the wiring while standing up and not have to crawl underneath ( I have mobility issues ) … thank you !

I installed a curt plug in (no spicing) towing 4 wire harness in my van. installed new wiring and LED side markers & tail lights on my utility trailer, with the running lights off the trailer brake lights are bright turn signals also. Turn on the running lights, for example press brake pedal left or right brake light dose not seem bright, left or right turn signal does not blink bright and side marker as well as I would expect, while the left turn signal is blinking the right is blinking dim compared to the left and vice versa. I checked the grounds multiple times rechecking the wiring I don’t remember having this issue when I rewired the trailer 7 years ago, any help is appreciated. Thank you

@@x21gokartracing this really sounds like a ground issue. Clean all your grouding points on each light and reattach. Double check your plug at the vehicle. Could be corrosion in the plug or the truck receptacle.

Hi, thanks for this video, I'm a total newbie to doing any type of wiring but my handyman couldn't figure it out. How do I know what type of butt connectors to use?

My kit did not come with the yellow side marker lights do I have to have those for the tail lights to work?

What sure those blue connectors for? You didn’t use them. My kit had them too

I keep a stash of quality connectors. If I didn't use something in the kit it's because I had a better alternative.

Check your ground on the tongue. Make sure the trailer is grounded to your hitch.

WHY DOESN’T ANYONE EXPLAIN THE DAMN RUNNING LIGHTS TO ME??!??!??? Yes l’m a woman. But if someone could help l’m understand how l’m supposed to hook them up l ‘d be DAMNED GRATEFUL!

Check your wiring package. They will label the lights with color codes. You will have a color for ground and a color for running lights. Connect them and you will have running lights when your lights in your vehicle are turned on.

2 wires got to your rear tail light. One for running light, one for blinker/brake. The other 2 go to left side, same example as above. The yellow side markers he's wiring in, wire into the "running lights". Yellow and brown go to driver side, green and brown go to passenger. If you want to wire in side marker (yellow) lights, just tie the single wire into the brown wire that's running to the rear lights
