- SMG4 just released Scooby Mario, the third part of the puzzlevision arc. Lets theorise.

Hey all, make sure to watch these two previous theories of mine first before watching this one. So as I expected this week’s show was more significant than the last two in terms of the hints it gave as to what is truly going on, however, although Tari played a major role in this show, clench did not show up at all unlike what i was predicting. This means we will probably finally see clench in the final fifth show of puzzlevision, and that he is likely laying low and hiding his presence from mr puzzles, probably waiting for an opportune time to reappear. This opportune time would most certainly be when mr puzzles is made vulnerable, which will likely come from his growing desper ation. As we have seen in the latest community posts, mr puzzles is desperate for perfect ratings, since he is clearly frustrated by seemingly pretty decent ratings like 3.8 stars. He even began to cope by suggesting that there was something wrong with the puzzlevision website. But if you look at the website, you will notice that once again mr puzzles’ render has changed, this time from his annoyed face to his smug face. But i don’t think this represents him gaining confidence as if this week’s show is performing better, as scooby mario is currently sitting at only 4 stars, and as we know, it seems he wants perfect scores. I think he is just putting on a confident act, with him believing this episode will be the one that MK news will finally rate highly. I expect to see a community post next tuesday which shows him once again frustrated with the scores, or perhaps he will even begin rigging the scores to give him 5 stars, as was sort of suggested he would do by this community post.
But it is probably going to become less likely that he gets the perfect scores he’s desperate for as time goes on because it seems that there are more and more serious cracks forming in his shows. Last time there was only one major crack in his show, as we see smg3 briefly regain his senses and break script. But in this show we see two, more serious cracks, as smg4 glitches or something and briefly says a line as if this episode was mario’s mysteries rather than scooby mario, before this is rewinded and corrected by mr puzzles. Later we also see a very significant scene where mario and luigi accidently enter an off limits room that they were likely never supposed to enter, which appears to be some sort of backstage monitoring room used by mr puzzles. Not only will these cracks probably increase in frequency and seriousness in the last two shows, but these will likely ensure mr puzzles never gains the perfect scores he wishes for. These cracks also suggest that mr puzzles’ grip over the smg4 cast and whatever world they are all in is not perfect and is becoming less strong, perhaps weakening in relation to his growing desper ation and frustration over the scores. As i’ll keep reiterating, this will probably be what causes mr puzzles to become vulnerable later on, allowing clench and the smg4 cast to free themselves from his control and confront him once and for all. At the very least, because they are going out of their way to promote this website and the scores so frequently, in community posts and in videos, these review scores will definately be important to mr puzzles’ downfall later on in some form.
Let’s return to that scene where mario and luigi find all the TVs that are seemingly monitoring the smg4 gang at all times while they are in these shows. Or perhaps all of these TVs are just replaying previously recorded events? But if thats the case, then this entirely brand new scene that we have never seen before raises a lot of questions, as assumedly this event has not occurred yet. I say this because we can be pretty certain that this is a clip from next week’s show, as not only are all the other TVs displaying clips from other puzzlevision shows, so this clip being from next week’s show would make sense, but more importantly, on twitter one of smg4’s editors, the inverted shadow, had something very interesting to say after the release of the latest episode. The hint he is likely referring to is almost certainly this game show clip. My immediate first thought when seeing that clip was the meme games 2024, but since we know that this clip is from next week’s puzzlevision show, we can immediately rule this theory out. But it will be some sort of game show, with mr puzzles appearing to be the host, while we see a lot of the main cast spinning on a giant game wheel behind him. We can also see a bit more of this clip if we look closely at this scene here, where we can see melony and boopkins appear. Assumedly next week’s show will follow the trend of being a parody and having mario be some sort of animal. We therefore know this will parody some sort of game show, and as we don’t see mario in these clips, this does not rule out him being an animal - Hry
I’ve got a theory! The more the crew find out, the more desperate Mr. Puzzles will be to stop them from finding out the truth. It will probably increase in the next two episodes.

My head canon is that puzzle vision is just using smg4 to make ads like he does with the shows
So it seems like the crew aren't in a simulation because Tari didn't seem to notice right away and warn the crew
Either way, Mr. Puzzles would just reverse Tari's actions and make sure she can't do that again.

Not to mention, he could have done this before the perfect video incident where the crew would have been more likely to trust him and still have the castle. Mr Puzzles didn't need to destroy their original home or forcefully brainwash them
Completely unrelated, but it’s been found that the ratings on the Puzzlevision website are just for show. The ratings each episode gets is pre-planned. So uh yeah, just wanted to mention that

I’m pretty sure the ratings actually have a lot to do with the arc. Mr. Puzzles wants perfect ratings, and the ratings have gone from 3.5 to 3.8 to 4 stars respectively. The 5th episode will probably have 4.9 stars, causing a trailer for the next movie where we see Mr. Puzzles freaking out at how close he is to perfect ratings.
Here's an interesting idea. You know the theory of how all the arc villains represent one of the deadly sins (Lawyer Kong/Sloth, Francis/Lust, Niles/Pride, SMG3/Envy, Waluigi/Wrath, Bob/Greed)? I think Mr Puzzles might be a part of that too and will be the antagonist who fills in for gluttony. Think about it. He wants to create so many shows that clearly are derivative of already existing works and doesn't like the idea of bad ratings.

If you look at the name of the render, it says "You-dont-seem-to-listen-do-you.png"
Which means he is NOT happy at all, infact he is getting more furious that we aren't listening to him and putting high ratings.
It just looks "happy" but if you look at the name it feels like he's looking more crazy/annoyed like
While it is cool you noticed that, the name is actually referring to the fact that the names of the other renders have been Mr puzzles telling you off for downloading him.
Some thing I will point out is that if you look closely at tari when the wheel of fortune tv comes on you can see her meta runner hand in the shape of a hand puppet like how clench talks meaning clench could be in the next episode

I personally think it’s both. I think the final episode will be a game show, but since game shows don’t have scripts (usually) I agree with you that this is what’s actually happening to the characters. Mr Puzzles will probably have an audience consisting of side characters and random Mario enemies or whatnot.
Meggy would be perfect fit for a Cooking Show since she is a bit troubled on doing so. And some Cooking Shows do have a mascot character which helps the host, so it'd also fit with the whole idea of Mario being the animal of the stories

Maybe the next episode will actually be a parody of the Saw franchise, and maybe other horror movies while we’re at it, because of Jigsaw’s famous quote “I want to play a game.”

I'm pretty sure the next episode of the Puzzlevision Arc will be about the Gang finally revealing that they are trapped inside the Puzzlevision Headquarters Prison.
First was SMG4 and Mario, which they almost broke character when SMG3, Meggy and Tari we're trapped on the Monitor.
Second Was SMG3, Which he said that everyone (including him) should escape from the Puzzlevision Prison.
And Third Was Luigi,since both him and Mario Saw The Forbidden Door of the Puzzlevision Headquarters, which contains previous episodes from the Puzzlevision Saga, until Mr. Puzzles Rewinds the episode.
This theory seems based on the episodes and not the characters as smg4 and mario didn't look phased from seeing them trapped probably do to Mr puzzles control
In the audio shadow emphasizes on playing the game, now this is obviously for the next show, but it could also be refering to our ratings, playing the game correctly is leaving a good rating, so maybe leaving bad ratings isnt gonna be as favorable as some of us think

I think Meggy will also play a huge role in next week’s episode. In Mario’s Mysteries, we saw Meggy, SMG3, and Tari in the monitor. The episode after that, SMG3 played a huge role. The episode after that, which is this week’s episode, Tari played a huge role. There’s a chance that Meggy will play a huge role in next week’s episode to follow this trend.

When I heard “As long as… you play the game…” I immediately thought of SM64: CLASSIFIED when in the Cartoon Network video where it said “Will you play the game, or will it *play you*?” Currently, the game is playing the SMG4 Crew, while the SMG4 Crew is trying to play against Mr.Puzzles by hiding small facts that his show isn’t perfect, and will in fact try harder.
The Mr. Puzzles renders are ment to us who keeps downloading it.

Puzzlevision is probs keeping Clench so Clench wouldn't destroy his shows. If Clench can sort of communicate with Tari, I am guessing Clench can use Tari to break the script for some moment in the fourth or fifth episode. Tari can also remind the crew for some moments too while breaking the script, but Puzzlevision can just rewind everything and keep Clench off from communicating. (I might change this theory, you guys can debate this in the replies, this theory might even be wrong.)
Mario not being on the wheel 100% means something, if he was on the wheel he would be one of the first characters we see
mario be playing wheel of fun, whoever he lands on has to not abuse him for 2 weeks, actually, that would probably be something that Mr. Puzzles would do to make mario feel like he's treated as a human again xd

Well, notice how he doesn't seem affected by Mr Puzzles's perception altering abilities. This is supported by how he's been dogs and a deer in these three episodes. Dogs and deer are known for their "sixth sense" which are used for detecting threats and allow them to avoid getting tricked by perception altering methods
I have 2 different theories:
1- Mr. Puzzles was originally trying to help SMG4 in "It's Gotta be Perfect" but when that backfired, he became evil.
2- Mr. Puzzles created Clench so that Tari has less control over her arm because she was able to free them from the simulation in "Western Spaghetti" and would likely be able to free them from whatever Mr. Puzzles trapped them in.

I have a theory that this could represent how Mr. Puzzles is losing his grip on the task and like a forcefully leashed animal

SMG4 was not the actual first victim of Mr Puzzles. Remember how Meggy seemingly recognized the adware logo in WS? I think Mr Puzzles tried to target her during her personal crisis, offering Meggy a way to become a splatfest champ. Meggy would decline the offerings, finding them rather shady
What I wanna know is where is Melony and saiko in all of these like what are they doing we know there not trapped because they never appeared in any shows
I got a theory, maybe Mr.puzzles was programming them and captured them to make movies. In the wotfi 2023, at the end we saw Mr.puzzles and said I wish we could do it again... this means that he wants to do it again to make something. He also said ''great choices'' maybe it means that before the video, the smg4 crew has a choice. There is also a clue , alot of clues to make that he is programming. In mario mystery, we see on TV that smg3, meggy, and tari screaming... and he even said that it was for grown ups. For a split second I think that they are actually screaming for help. And mr. Puzzles wants a perfect rating as we can all see clips from the security room mr. Puzzles is watching for the perfect rating cause in the next two episode maybe we will get more clues if he is going to get a perfect rating.
The animals that Mario portrays have significance. Deers and Dogs have a sixth sense which allows them to detect danger and are not easily fooled by perception altering methods

Mr Puzzles Has The Ability To Brainwash People Into Acting In His Shows, But Despite All His Planning, He Forgot One Little Thing: Mario Doesn’t Have A Brain For Him To Wash. The Reason He Was Playing Along With The Other Shows Is Because He’s Stupid And Has No Idea What’s Going On. So When Mr Puzzles Put Him In The No No Cage, He Didn’t Count On Mario’s Stupidity To Free Him. So Mario Is Their Only Hope.

My theory on why mr puzzles looks happy now is because he’s beginning to go insane.

Mr. Puzzles kinda reminds me of Caine from TADC. They are both characters with god-like powers who toy with others just for entertainment. I'm not saying the two shows are cannonically linked, but maybe one inspired the other behind the scenes.

Yeah, I’m beginning to agree with you on these theories. Clearly, Mr. Puzzles gets his powers from 5-star reviews, and weakens with every 1-4 star review. Here’s hoping the reviews will end up getting worse and worse as time goes on. I know; it’s a weird thing to say, but given how desperate Mr. Puzzles is for 5-star reviews, I’d recommend doing the opposite and give him 1-star reviews.

I would like to point out something interesting I found on the website!
The Mr. Puzzle render in the website's rating section is actually downloadable.I clicked on his picture and downloaded it yesterday. After a day, I was scrolling through my files to download something for a drawing, but then I came across the render I downloaded and my jaw DROPPED.Because the file of the render was named "you-dont-seem-to-listen-do-you" seems Kevin hid some secret messages in the render's file name!
I'm not sure what this means though, maybe he's mad about the ratings of the last 2 episodes and trying to communicate with us? Or idk
This is something that happened over the last weeks renders. The first render is named "downloading-me-is-pretty-rude.png", the second "still-pretty-rude-of-you.png" and this week's called "you-dont-seem-to-listen-do-you.png" I think, the SMG4 team made this as a joke to mess with the people that downloads the image of Mr. Puzzles.

I’ve got a theory so I think mr puzzled is a virus Luke downloaded and is trying to keep a low profile as a new character that’s why he has godlike power and he resets the corruption from Luke trying to get rid of the virus by fixing the mistakes to trick Luke to think he has got rid of it. Edit I just realised that in Mario’s mystery’s he had a red out line i think that boost my theory

Man, there is actually a theory from another smg4 theorist that smg4 has become very similar to dhmis, and I think his right, in an old theory video matpat made, Roy which is yellow guy's father represents the program who runs the show and is the sponsor. While red guy is the creator, working with Roy because no one in his society respects his creativity, the same can be said for Mr puzzles, so I have a theory that Mr puzzles isn't doing this under his own will, but rather it's because he's working with someone. And the reason he's so desperate to get a perfect score is because the company he works for called puzzlevision might punishment if he doesn't get it right.
Edit: Another thing that makes smg4 very similar to dhmis is that when Mario and Luigi enter the off limits room, it's very similar to the room red guy entered in the final episode of the webseries, you can see that on images of the control machine red guy sees, it actually shows clips of old dhmis episodes, likely used by Roy. The same can be said for smg4 the security shows clips of the old episodes, even events that have recently happened, just like in the dhmis control machine.
