  • Cranborne Audio Carnaby 500 is a unique 3-band parametric 500 Series EQ that uses harmonic saturation to boost and cut frequency content.
Carnaby 500 provides three bands of Harmonic EQ™, each with a blend of harmonics to give maximum musicality to their support frequencies:
The HI band ranges from 5 - 25 kHz. Its smooth saturation capability extends high-frequency sounds beyond the human hearing range for maximum realism on vocals and acoustic instruments, such as cymbals or flutes.
The MID band is a peaking filter that emphasises frequencies in the 200Hz - 6.2kHz range, using saturation to add richness to your source material.
The LO band has a frequency range of 420Hz down to 20Hz and uses hard-clipping saturation to increase the low end- ideal for adding subtle warmth or extreme subharmonic distortion.
Unlike other equalisers, Carnaby 500 has a dynamic response - the more you drive the circuits, the more boost/cut and harmonics it produces. The unit is intuitive to use with plenty of visual feedback from the front panel to assist in dialling in optimum settings.

Yes, Cranborne have done a great job with this - like an EQ/Exciter/Harmonic Distortion all in one processor?

that black and white effect is unnecessary in my opinion, let us just hear it. Nice review though, thanks !
