Another people pleaser here Helen! The eldest of four,I was born sensible and still that way at 70! People pleasing can bring awful stress and anxiety I find,totally self inflicted but it’s a hard habit to break now! I love having everyone together but as you say,that’s harder now,all the shopping,preparing cooking etc. I think I’ve decided now that I’ve done my bit and that next time one of the ‘younger ones can do it😁!

I think when you chat to us it makes me feel much warmer than just a video that shows endless items and purchases- it makes you so much more honest,friendly and interesting which is the main reason I love your channel. Hi Helen, totally agree re family. I love having mine every other Sunday for dinner plus three dogs but find it is getting harder at nearly 75! Your Grandson is adorable and his brother sounds lovely too. Have just ordered the slip over, the maternity trousers and top for the coming cold months from TU and the prices are amazing. Don’t stop “prattling”, as you say, as you are great fun and interesting to boot.🏴xx

They grow up so fast. I ordered once from temu. All went straight back. No problem with free returns and got my money back. Won't be ordering again. Love the red dress on you and the sleeveless jumper. The coat is a great bargain. I got the Asda coat after seeing you wear it. I love it. Keep doing what you're doing xx

I just LOVE the decor in your cabin! If you didn’t have help doing that- you are GOOD! The pink cardigan & long sleeveless one are beautiful! Makes me furious we have nothing like those bargains here in the US! What a darling little grandson you have! Well, I guess I am drawn to more feminine clothes because I found the brown & beige cardigan hilarious! I think you should buy it for Rob, & hand him his newspaper, pipe & slippers!🤣

So glad you touched on your depression, I too had a bad bout with depression around 15 years ago, it’s a terrible illness, and let’s face it that is what it is, people used to say oh just snap out of it, tomorrow will be better but it’s really not that simple is it, anyway fortunately I had wonderful support from my husband and his family, I’m forever grateful to them ❤. When you mentioned about the councillor saying not everyone will like you reminded me of the time my husband said that to me. He had to remind me that I don’t like everyone so why should I expect everyone to like me. This was only a few years ago as well…we live and learn Helen (eventually 😂)

Raincoat great to keep in car also, in case of sudden rain, light to just throw on and love the cardigan (pink) laughing at the yard trimming out there, real world which I love - the vest or I should say popover, great - nice over jersey or turtle neck, - nice haul. ♥️

Helen love watching you remind me so much of myself one of 5 kids helped out so much yes I’m a people pleaser too clearing my dressing room out but had orders today from John Lewis & Tu I got a lovely black dress from finery & a lovely trouser suit so cheap & good quality for my trip to Rome your such a natural in front of the camera you could easily do a stint on this morning your grandson is beautiful by the way I also have a new 5 week old grandson so much pleasure they bring have a lovely week oh I think the pink spotty dress was so very slimming looked lovely on you x

Only ten minutes in but had to stop and say stuff before I forget! You look fabulous, Helen. The stripey shirt, hair up, jealous-making nails just look wonderful. You're probably aware this is a look that suits you but in case you weren't - this is a look that really suits you 😁. About the people-pleasing and being disliked, I am also one of the former but finally learning what it really means to not do that and put myself first - not blowing my own trumpet or anything like that, but just gaining confidence with age. And one of the weirdest reasons someone told me they disliked me was because I'm tall. Not a jealousy thing at all, it was a man I knew a bit and then we were working on something together and I had to ask him why he was being funny with me and he said he had a problem with tall women. Blimey. So it seems we see others through the biased glasses of our experience rather than maybe seeing the real person.

If I ever needed confirmation of why I subscribe to your channel, todays chat was it. I also am very wary of Temu, I’ve read articles where they say that they don’t have very robust systems protecting your personal data and questionable work ethics. I also believe that if prices are too good to be true, someone else is paying the price, in this case their employees and work ethics. Your comments concurred with my own opinion and I see that too many you-tubers are more than willing to promote them. This is why I subscribe you are honest in everything you say.
