Super M and BTS are not in competition in fact members from both groups are best friends. There can be space for more than one group to be successful. And SuperM isn't copying anyone lol nothing they did in jopping is similar to bts AT ALL. Keep in mind some members of SuperM have over 10yrs experience in kpop and helped spread kpop to the US and other audiences specifically Taemin, Kai and Baekhyun

Them being friends has nothing to do with them being each other's competition. The way SM is promoting them is making it seem like it's a competition to get a #1. I honestly feel bad for the members of this group, specifically Taemin since I'm a big fan of his, they're getting robbed and exploited by SM in order to try to break into the US market.

I'm so glad you guys appreciate Taemin. I really feel like a lot of younger fans of the other members of SuperM may have missed out on Shinee's era, and either aren't familiar with Taemin or don't get his unique style. He stands out so much even in SuperM, where the talents are so huge.

man we're so tired of westerners whose only knowledge of kpop is bts CONSTANTLY compare groups to bts or make claims that they're trying to mimic them. ALL of superm comes from super successful groups, and half of the members were huge before bts even existed.

â@@w2174 I think it's understandable when Armys get a little defensive when the fandom is generalized as just toxic. As a multi-stan and Army, I sometimes feel kinda shut out by the kpop community because of the toxic actions of a small percentage of Army... don't get me wrong, I get why people hate these fans because I myself go "omg just f**k off!" when I see toxic Armys in the comments acting like they represent all of us when they really don't because 100% I disagree with them. I don't think other fandoms can understand the anxiety that comes with being a mature army - I've been listening to kpop since about 2010 and I've never felt as shut out from the community as when I became an Army, I always feel nervous when someone asks what groups I like because in the past I have been instantly judged as toxic and given abuse. Mature Armys care about what other fandoms think and just want to be part of the kpop community and get along. Personally, BTS got me through a really rough stage of depression and for almost a year were the only thing that would make me smile throughout the day. So it really hurts when Army is always generalized as toxic (even my best friend irl hates BTS and Army, despite me and our other best friend being Armys) so it's hard not to get a little defensive and try to remind other fandoms that we're not all bad. I'm really sorry for the essay and I hope you don't take any of this the wrong way, I'm just trying to share how some Armys might feel and maybe create some understanding between us. AND I also hate when people constantly compare kpop artists with BTS, they're all amazing artists that deserve their own platform and respect because they are all so passionate, talented and hardworking. It made me so happy to hear Zak appreciating how hard the members have worked for years and years. All the members deserves the world. People have no idea about the sacrifices and endurance they (esp mark and taeyong this year) have to go through to reach this level of greatness.

Excuse me, but they have nothing to do with BTS at all. They arenât following their concept, their marketing or their footsteps at all. Taemin, Baekhyun and Jongin have been in that industry for LONGER than BTS! ALL of the members have their own, already established personalities, qualities and music style. I think it's dumb to compare groups against one another because one isn't better than the other. They are all "perfect" in their own right and have their own unique strengths. One person who loves BTS or BlackPink may be best friends with someone who loves H.O.T or Shinee. (And yes, you can say over and over how great your band is, but stating that it's far better than another band will only make your friend angry with you because you're basically telling them that they either have bad taste or that they're stupid for liking a different, worthless band.) One is not superior; sure, one may have more fans but that doesn't make them "better" in the eyes of the one who loves only their own group. You don't choose a group because everyone else likes it. You choose the group because you love them. Because they speak to you through their music, friendship, and brotherly reactions between each other. I personally love a Kpop group that isn't as popular as the current "trend," but that's because they were there for me during a rough time. They'll always be my one true love, but someone else's true Kpop love will probably be completely different. I respect that and wouldn't be brazen to say that my band is the only good band out there. It's just what you like.

The most important thing I wanna point out is please don't compare any kpop group with each other. It's an absolute disrespect. SuperM contains members who are in this kpop industry far longer than BTS. No hard feelings for BTS of course they are a great group but kpop doesn't only have BTS you know. There are other successful groups too. You may not know but your this video is creating fanwars in Twitter. I didn't even know this video existed until I saw it on Twitter and their comments and came to find here. All the groups work hard to make their own name and not "next..... " something. Disappointed that you felt the need to mention BTS as if two kpop groups canât be popular at the same time. They donât see it as a competition and neither should we. The group is honestly going to be history. Like something like this has never been done be it the groupâs concept, the merging of several different groups, or such a cinematically grand mv. Regardless of how they do this debut is so iconic and will forever be remembered as such. Also if you guys get the chance to listen to that album, listen itâs so good!

I've been watching your content for awhile now and I'm sad to say I wasn't expecting this from you all. If somebody doesnât want to be compared to BTS then donât be called the avengers of Kpop. Itâs hard not to clearly see the intention of this group being made to BTS when they basically promote off of the idea that theyâre the next big thing from Kpop. BTS has been famous for a minute, why is everybody so intent on bringing them down. Iâm obviously not referring to the idols; the artists have a passion for what they do. Power hungry companies create these tactics. Itâs no different than when YG was using BTSâ name to bring blackpink up. Itâs clear by aiming to beat BTS in some category, youâre still seeking some sort of validation. I am an army and i dont have a clue why there are so many people in our fandom bothered so much by Super M, since BTS has already conquered theyâre place and nobody can take that away. In fact, Super M is only going for theyâre place under the sun. Theyâre undeniably talented and they deserve all the good results they get. Itâs already so hard for people to respect kpop as a whole, and still ignorant people create this useless fanwars when we should be together securing KPOP the respect it deserves. And Khadija, the other sub group he debuted in is called Younique, with Kai also in it. And Dizz is right. This super group just changed the whole music landscape. I love what Zak said. This is the fruit of years of hard work and dedication. I'm a Shawol and Taemint, but I stan the whole group! They are indeed the future! while i respect your opinion, it seems like a lot of people are misinformed and the whole "super m is enhancing the bts experience" is incorrect. the whole avengers of kpop thing is 1) because they're from different groups coming together and 2) because they have a contract with marvel... and they should not be compared to or put against bts. bts is a kpop group, they may have their own flavor but they don't have a distinct enough experience to say super m is copying them.super m is their own group and bts shouldn't be brought up in a video about super m or any other group for that matter. while bts does have American media exposure, there were many 2nd gen groups to have mass western media exposure before them so it isn't fair to say that sm made super m to compete with bts for american media exposure. sm may be a large company, but they don't have enough funding to promote all their groups in the american media so this contract allows them to promote 3 groups at once while also promoting super m.

I really love the bts, but I don't think they were creators of any musical genre ... they are a great boom, but before them there have been other groups that, despite the little fame that the kpop had in those times, knew how Reach the United States market.
