- No wystone because he takes more damage during frenzy. Pretty sure faster could be done but he can be super crazy with AI and combos and got tired of trying for a quicker time.

I find it quite elegant watching Mai's gunning.
I wonder how satisfying he considers the hunter's moveset compared to mhgu, and whether it's lacking.

If that was just dragon thunder attack imagine getting punched by Stygian or tail smacked, it'll be insta cart but then again gunner armor has less defense than blade master armor.
Lol I do the same thing at 8:10 another cool way to cancel the draw reload is to run at the edge of a ledge if you've done it right you'll reload all your ammo while dropping of the ledge effectively canceling the rest of the animation which is the cocking of the lbg this trick doesn't work on hbg though if I recall.

Btw, first I'm hearing of frenzied monsters taking more damage (in description), are you sure? How much more exactly? Because when I was testing other stuff I'd do the same damage no matter what with GS (eg: I'd do 290 damage on something that flinches at 300 and got no flinch when frenzy so either it's no damage bonus or it's ridiculously small one)...
I only tested stygian and he took quite a bit more so idk if all frenzy take more.

@@tho_tho I used an HP mod to check HP for verifying my info. It makes figuring out some things a lot easier.
@@mailbg9704 I seriously keep forgetting we have those plugins that replace hunter's/palico's name with monster stats since I just calculate them on my head (GS is slow enough to allow for damage counting without damage numbers), that will make testing much easier, so thanks for reminding me!

Is this emulator capable of multiplayer sessions? I find it super interesting tbh. I've enjoyed 4U so much on my old 3ds xl and was really hoping to play it in this enhanced format.

In what cases is Vayu preferred over something like Diamond Crest? Does Vayu usually end up beating limiter removal piercing, or is it all depending on whether the monster allows for or doesn't allow for constant safe reloads? Along with the factor of whether p3 works or doesnt work on the monster? I ask because to me it wouldn't make sense to use limiter removal if p3 perfoms poorly and your main ammo ends up being p1-p2 and p3 being left overs.
So firstly, based on setup he wanted to gem in for an extra armour skills since there's 2 free slot on the Vayu, in addition it had a higher base damage and slightly lower affinity, so I guess he did some calculation and found out the gear he has just out damage any gear he would wear using the Diamond Crest.
Then secondly, the secret mechanics on Vayu is so valuable to reduce the wasted animation time on reloading, allowing him to maintain a ridiculous upkeep in the DPS department. So since he does a lot of speed running that's a plus for him.
Not entirely sure about what you were asking about the ammos but I'll try. I believe in MH4U, by removing limiter, it added a damage multiplier of 1.25x to the bowguns damage. In this case, Vayu didn't really do RF p1, so he decided fuck it, I want that modifier. You talk about why he didn't consider using P3 ammo, to put it in a simple term, Zinogre, isn't P3 friendly. This is because of the monster character model and hit-zoned. P1 has better properties than P3 this boils down to critical distance, recoil and lastly based damage of the first "hit" as being more reliable. Not sure if that even answered your question lol (Sorry about that)
@@kneel3871 Thank you for your time, but I assumed all of the stuff you mentioned so yeah it makes sense. One thing tho is that limiter removal damage boost only applies for hbg. Lbg only gets the ability to reload all ammo at once along with ammo clip increase on ammo that is rapid fired.
