That's a helluva claim. I mean, she comes across as competent and articulate (as well as startlingly attractive), but not especially _Brilliant._ I understand that education in the USA isn't particularly errr... educational. So when the spotlights alight upon someone who's gone through said broken system, yet nevertheless, is able to communicate effectively and expressively via a written medium, or oral... Well, I can understand how an american might think such a person to be _Brilliant." However, these results are what we- in the rest of the developed world- expect of everyone who goes through our education systems.
The ONLY thing that really sets her apart from the average woman/ man on the streets of a developed nation is that she's creative in ways that they may/ may not be.

Let’s not focus on brilliance or pretty or smart or dumb or ugly.
Focus on how this person simply opens their mind to the knowledge of learning anything that she finds interesting and applying it creatively to her life. In this case writing and acting professionally. This is a process every single one of us are capable of.
When my mom was dying in hospice, I started reading "The TIbetian Book of Living & Dying" for some clarity & suggestions to make it all as meaningful as possible. It book taught me that when a person is near death that they become a Buddah by ultimately becoming one with the universe. They become enlightened at death's door because in the act of knowing & being aware that your life is at its end your mind clears to focus on things that are important. Bearing witness to death becomes a sort of opportunity to not only learn more about what really matters but also get a glimpse into the abyss by being in close proximity to a person in that state.
This is really beautiful, I'm glad you shared this. I recently lost someone and that book has been on my reading list forever. You've inspired me to finally read it. I'm sorry for your loss. ❤️

I really hope s3 will get relesed it's left me hanging. I watched one after another as 8 was so gripped. Then right in a good bit my bloody electric run out lol so I ran to top my card to come back and Bing again I told everyone to watch it. As the day before I was given a book of many lives many masters that was a epic book that I read in a day as it was so gripping. And it was about NDE. I watched the OA series and it makes me want to talk to her about what happened to me to see if she heard anyone with a similar story. I havent found an NDE story from anyone that is similar. Probably why I'm drawn to shows and stories like this in the first place
Loved this show
You can achieve the same/similar sensation she's describing by taking a psychotropic substance (mushrooms, LSD, mescaline, MDMA, etc.) or by meditation/deep thought . It doesn't take a NDE to realize these things. Just an aside.

I read or heard they have sketched out 5 seasons. Netflix will have to agree to finance more.
I think there is. Jason Isaacs even said in an interview that season 3 will be so different since they dont want the viewers to get bored or something like that.
It was written for five parts :) Just gotta spread the word so Netflix continues to renew!!!
When I heard Netflix canceled it, I was crushed, but I know they won’t stop creating for their fans. I would love to see it get picked up by HBO.

I've done DMT on a mushroom trip. One of the most amazing events in my life. I fell out of space time and saw the bright galaxies become a pregnant woman on her side and all the darkness as a man holding her, their belly buttons became the center of the universe and I felt nothing but love. It is something I can never forget.
