I grew up with my dad having goldwing and my brother's honda cbr929rr so I know what bike I really want and got into scooters... even scooters have 800cc... my 400cc is doing great for me, I have some videos that I traveled on it to NY, CA, FL, WA from Texas
haha Ron, no hate on here :) no worries.. it was not hard on me.. a lot of people said that too... I like motorcycles but I like scooters better for many reasons.. nice bikes there you have... I have 2007 suzuki burgman 400, 2007 vespa gts 250, 2006 yamaha vino 125, and 2001 honda elite 50.. I ride scooters everyday for 13 years now.. I'm scooter guy, you are a motorcycle guy it's great :)
have had mine over 5 years now and I'm just now having to replace the cover ! it's been through three hurricanes and various other storms ! If you treat the material as they tell you it really works!! I have a 98 Honda Valkyrie with a front fairing and it fits with no problems! My 98 Goldwing also fits with no problem !! I love this thing!!

So was going to order one today. My bike is custom and I was given attitude right off the bat about it. I was polite in return, but would not buy a product that has that kind of relationship between customer and manufacture. I have also read that some people have had big problems with quality. It is made by hand, in house( that's what I was told) for that much money I'm going elsewhere. Good luck to anyone who has a problem with there's.

@timsrandomvideos ok I just looked up on cycleshelter, I like.. but I don't think I will want that for my burgman because it doesn't have zipper on the end and let the aluminum bar to open to go over the tall windshield and topcase.. sorry if I am bad at explaining.. I'm talking about :56 to 1:04 in the video.
I know its supposed to hold out water and wind resistant, how does it do? I'm thinking of getting one. but don't want one that allows water to leak in for sure!

it weight 70 lbs, they have anchore stuff that can work on the cement. I didn't use anything to hold it down on the cement when I used to live at the apartement.. I put some big rocks inside when I leave on my bike.. but most of the time i leave it open so wind can't blow it away.

@micbergsma Ya, good point, I'm not sure that would be nice, I actually do work in Suzuki and Harley dealer and also have a Suzuki vs1400 with a windshield, I would want it big enough when I decide to get a full dress Harley to fit in there also. I know the cycleshell has 3 different size options, and cycle shelter only has one size that supposibly fits all, not sure though, thanks very much for your input though, does it withstand quite a bit a wind, and is it anchored? Mine would be on cement
@timsrandomvideos and keep the cats out, no hairs, feet prints, and pee too... yeah no leaks, my bike look so new over three years now bec of it :) use the f21 turtle wax spray to keep the fabric stay in good shape that's what cycleshell said
@micbergsma yeah, no I totally understand, still slightly leaning towards the other one but they are very similar it seems to me but the other one is lighter and something you can fold up little more, all I have is a car, I would want to be able to fit it in my car if needed and it just doesn't appear for what i was reading the cycleshell would be able to... the cycle shelter folds pretty small though, that is the main option that is leaning my decision. But Thanks for the great input!

@micbergsma ok, sweet, I looked at the cycleshell first was going to get that one, but it didn't appear it broke down small enough to fit in my car if needed, so I'm leaning towards the cycleshelter which is different company looks like its about the same thing but more of a callapsable floor and folds up into like a tent bag which is more like I would want, little cheaper also.

This is awesome. I have had my Cycle-Shell for two years now and it's perfect for my full-dress touring bike. Nothing better in my opinion BUT, how do you get hold of this guy? His voice mail is full and emails unanswered. A friend of mine is trying to order one on my recommendation.

Not for big bikes. Bought the tourer and my Goldwing squeezed in, but just barely. I'll not be storing it in the Cycleshell. My Vstrom fits ok, but look-over windshield rubs against top. The largest model is good for small bikes with not much of a windshield, it seems.

how would you prevent theft? I'd suspect the bike would be easy to steal if someone wanted it. How do you prepare for that?
Jim Morrison you prepare for theft by keeping a second scooter hidden in a broom closet under the stairs.
A fellow posted a security cam video of his bike being rolled off the Cycleshell and the Cycleshell being stolen. Although it seemed he didn't utilize the pin hole that locks the shell down as a padlock secure system as it is designed to. Here in PA it seems there is more theft outside big city regions than in. It's really bad. If it is a concern possible try using everything provided or get creative.

buyers beware ... i have one for 3 years now, the cloth became so brittle my finger wen through it, the cloth quality is so bad you have to keep replacing it.
Thanks! If we get one I was already thinking of keeping another tarp over it to protect it from rotting. Campers are covered for the same reason.
