Enjoyed the video! I think though they were intended to be pre-heresy Emperors Children. The shoulder pads are a cool attempt to make them look like cataphractii terminator armour and it would answer the question of what EC stands for. Also Emperors Children are purple :-)

I'm glad you liked it! And yes, you are very much right, they were definitely meant to be Emperor's Children. In the follow-up video, where I paint the Terminator Chaplan, I actually tell the story of how my friend tried to tell me that, but I dismissed him, thinking that he meant "Emperor's Children" in a way that all Space Marines are "Children of the Emperor". ^^'
