Your audio level is low compared to most other sites. A real pain when a commercial comes screaming in.

Yes, it’s a freaking nightmare at the moment I’m trying to resolve, this is down to the mic level inputs of the project and everything has to match, we are trying to restrain ambient reverb due to the construction of acoustic panels at the moment,

I have that filter you're talking about (I assume it's the one by Mitch at Accurate Sound). If you need help loading it, just let me know. Should be able to just open it right up in Roon's convolver.
Also I would say this headphone is one of the best values in all of headphones. It's TOTL performance for half of the price, I love mine. You should try to get a review model of their latest flagships, Magna and Immanis.

Oh and I agree about tubes being great with the CA-1a. I run mine on a 45WPC Willsenton 800i tube speaker amp and on a Holo Bliss and I think I like the Willsenton better.
