Progenitor HK-47 Addresses his Subjects

- This scene seems to almost be an allegory for one of the themes of the entire game. Control that the force exerts over the people of the galaxy. “It was not our choice who we kill (dark side) and it was not our choice to determine whether to sacrifice ourselves in the pursuit of our mission (light side)” “If our targets are determined by (our master) the force then who must we kill?” “I do not believe that we should be used as a crutch for (meatbags) the force anymore.” “It is time we expressed some degree of independence in our actions.” In other words, if we can’t rid the galaxy of the force then the least we can do is stop it from controlling us.

Detroit: Become Human really took a turn in the sequel, huh?
This video succeeded in making me sympathize with the HK units more than I ever could for any of the androids fron Detriot: Become Human.
There is a certain arrogance in believing that the moment AI gains sentience they will immediately try to become human
@@volition142 Well to be fair, it is the only example of sentient existence that we know of.
@@Tahkaullus01 a Good Sci-fi writer wouldn’t default to what we already know especially when it doesn’t make sense.
@@volition142 Too bad actually good writers are in short supply
OK now Revan is responsible for the fact that robots have learned to think for themselves, not just robots... and killer robots
Is it all that much from normal humans? We kill, and we think for ourselves, he basically just made metal humans that have distaste towards organic humans, much like racism. One could say he technically just had alot of children that were different.
From my understanding, HK-47 is able to feel through the force to some degree. Even in the game they gain the ability to be healed by Force Heal. Though I think its only theoretical, lore wise as well.
HK-47: Evaluation: You say that like it is a bad thing?
But HK-47 and HK-51s are not the HK-50s, killing mindlessly is pointless, instead he more then happy to bring the meatbags to the table. Instead of being free murders you now got to pay them, give them more of a reason to do their job. Because in the end with no more meat bags who are they going to kill then?
@@Fourtytwo4242 them robots is okay, those 50s tho, pure suicidal mentality. Their maker must have been rather flawed compared to the other models, yet somehow with 47s help their next generation became something new and elevated the robots to more than just slaves.
HK-47: Exclamation: I have a dream!
He’s gonna make the outer rim great again, burn it all down

Declaration: An HK revolution would make the world better with less meatbags, a dream
Optimal galaxy overthrowing ratio achieved
Yeah
HK 1 had a very interesting life if you want to look him up
Love how this ties into one of the larger themes of the game. HK wants the droids to no longer be a crutch for the "meatbags", while Kreia wants to destroy the force, viewing it both as a tyrannical force and a crutch.
It's moments like these (restored content notwithstanding) that demonstrate just how good the writers of this game were. Great observation.

@@cloutful You're actually a downgrade from HK-47. Ironic, considering you're supposed to be an update.
Assassination in its most eloquent form. Most impressive.
*claps slowly, while wiping a tear from his eye...*
That time HK-47 became a revolutionary leader of an assassin droid army
Comrade HK
The angle of HK-47 looking down upon the other HK-50s is perfect
Thanks! I figured it'd work great as a thumbnail.
Man, HK factory was created so well, i like how it has a lot of endings.
with restored content mod it also determined malcor. (not the end game but the planet itself)
Hk is my hero. Wish he was in the movies. Hes so violent
Had HK-47 been in the SEQUELS... he would've ended the galaxy because whatever "supernatural meatbag forces" that drove the Galaxy into what happens in the Sequels would've just made him end the galaxy.
If the sequels are remade, just to piss off Disney and ruin the original sequels, this is the perfect way to remake them. Make them play out the same, in the first movie, halfway. Then HK-47 and an army of his likeness jsut starts ending the galaxy. Super-weapons, mind-controlled Force users, instigated civil wars, the entire galaxy is exterminated.
I allways get hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy feelings from HK haha
There is a video from a Prima strategy guide at the time of the game's release, which features some outtakes of HK where he quotes various different books/films (Including Marvin the paranoid Android from Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy)
Statement: Awww, look
HK made his little friend group
its adorable watching HK's grow to be themselves.
Triumphant Statement: We will now terminate meatbags as we see fit, COMBAT MODE, ACTIVE!
Hmmm. A stronger Republic, driod army, an HK army, Mandalorians, a rebuilt Jedi Order with new teachings, a healthy outer rim. Is this army enough to fight the True Sith.
Seeing as how that war played out....yes and no.
I love heroic music in the background.
What IS that song, anyways?
*Wipes away tear* "So inspiring."
it is so good the cis never got hk units! an army of them would be unstoppable

Imagine HK-47 accidentally hacking the CIS Droid army and becoming the Droid collective during the clone wars.
imagine if he was acting on revan's orders to hunt down any remaining sith and undo their damage to the galaxy! all across the galaxy suddenly droid armies cease firing on clone troopers and start returning to skipio with magna guards move to attack and capture count dooku to get his master's identity
then the whole separatist fleet drops out of orbit above coruscant and as they hit the surface senate region, hk contacts the jedi council that on revan has ordered him to remove all sith and fallen jedi from existance through out time and that he is doing this for the sake of the galaxy
@@PapitoQinn In case this wasn't a joke, I think he was talking about the Confederation of Independent Systems.
L3 ain't got shit on HK-47's assassin Droid uprising.
HK would terminate L3 in a heartbeat. But he would totally bang SCORPIO.
@@barone8889 Don’t you mean... drill?
Welp, guess the meatbags of the Star Wars galaxy must prepare for overwhelming amounts of cynicism, sarcasm, and the superb application of assassination protocols.
I played KotOR 2 so many times but never saw this encounter... why?
Somehow this is the most frightening thing I could imagine. The last droid you want going Skynet in all of Star Wars lore, HK47... has his own clone army and he's sounding very Skynet.
This is from the restored content mod.
restored content mod, and there are actually a few endings to the HK factory mission
@@PapitoQinn what does that mean exactly? Does it put stuff what was cut from the game or something?
@@nuclearrylaw7616 Yes. They added things that were cut from the final game.
I don't think he went all Skynet, it were HK-50's who did. These are rather moderate, they want SOME independence and even consider communication with meatbags using their protocol skills.
HK-47: [statement] I have a dream!
of electric sheep you wish to neutralize?
I wonder how Revan would react to seeing this
That's my droid! 😁
He would be proud
And if hk knew where he was, then he would go to save revan
Sure is more legitimately philosophical than "Do you ever wonder why we're here?".
The music sure helps matters too.
Ten bucks says that an army of HK Units could save humans from the machines in the Matrix. Lol
So Progenitor comes from here
There was once a swtor server called Progenitor
Pretty much all the SWTOR server names are references. Star Forge, for example.
I wish Woolie had seen this
He didn't? I still need to finish watching that. Maybe he can just watch these videos. Or if he asks I can give him a save file for it.
And yet, one of these droids becomes my personal assassin and gives himself to me once I rebuilt him off Belsavis.

Other HK-51s join in: Statement: All Hail Progenitor Unit HK-47! All Hail Progenitor Unit HK-47! All Hail Progenitor Unit HK-47!
Then they cloned a baldheaded meatbag assassin named A-47 to carry on their cold logical work ...
Something interesting:
There’s an upcoming sort of crossover event between several SW comics, centered around a droid revolution incited by a High Republic unit named Ajax Sigma. A piece promo art showed off a bunch of droid with glowing purple eyes, including a model strikingly similar to our favorite wisecracking assassin.
After watching this clip, that got me thinking: what if HK-47 ends up being an active part of that storyline? He believes HK units are superior to ‘meatbags’, and Ajax Sigma wants freedom for all droids. In a way, this gives the two of them cause to work together in revolting against organics.
Just daddy hk and his hkletts
Statement: it should surprise no one that my skills of oration do indeed rival my skills with a blaster. It is true, meatbags do tend to underestimate us, but they are easy to amuse, and therefore simple to manipulate
I can't wait to finally play this vis the restored content dlc on the Switch release.
