Great review for what appears is essentially a small business which are the lifeblood of any nation and we should use them more. You could tell the guy serving in the shop knew his stuff and was professionally passionate about sharing his knowledge about the cuisine they sell. Wonderful little gem of a place in Leeds!
When Danny was in the shop ordering his food,I think that's the most "Danny hand claps" I've seen him do whilst he's ordering his food,im sure he did about 4 or 5 claps 👏🏾 😄
Silver’s makes by far the best sandwiches i ever had. And i only live a few doors up the street from the Deli. Still not managed the full menu yet as i keep going back to the salt beef and cold cuts 😋
Everything looked amazing, my only criticism would be that the meatball sandwich was lacking meatballs. Only 3 meatballs on a sandwich costing £7.50 and considering how generous they were with the salt beef is a bit steep, i think it should've had an extra meatball so every bite would have some meat and if you break it in half there's 2 on each half. The first and last bite of that would just be bread and sauce.
Highly recommend The Gingerbread Coffee House in Northumberland. Fresh cakes, cheesecakes, scones & sandwiches. The Ploughman's is easily the best sandwich I've ever had in my life 👌
@@TelstarFirst, well, never having been to the UK, I can't speak from experience. I Googled "salt beef" and that's what was indicated by the results provided. When you say, "completely different thing," just how different are we talking? I mean, it's clearly not "completely" different, as they look fairly identical, and Google says the terms are both referring to the same thing, so we KNOW "completely" is out the window, but just how different are they in YOUR opinion?
It's not so difficult and this proves it a good positive attitude and some amazing food done simply and quickly and the price is the most competitive I've seen yet for fresh cooked food
@@TelstarFirst it’s called corned beef in the US. Uk version of corned beef is in a can as to distinguish between corned beef and salt beef. no such distinction in the US. I have a nice three pounder in my freezer right now and would never buy the canned version.
I'm an American expat living in North Yorkshire, I will be going to Silver's for one of those INCREDIBLE looking salt beef sarnies. I am something of a sandwich connoisseur and an accomplished Sandwich Maker (sent by Bob) myself, and I am pure DROOLING at the sight of that craftsmanship. Oh my days, Danny, my LONGtime friend- I will be following your footfalls this weekend! #RateMyTakeaway #TrueBritishGreatness #DannyMalintheLegend
I do enjoy a nice sandwich from a takeaway, and these ones looked nice. Their used to be a nice one near me that I would go to once a week when at uni, but it sadly closed down now.
I’m same as you wi’ t’old pickles. But with stuff like this they really compliment salt beef, pastrami etc. Usually some pickles and mustard are great.
I save £7.50 on a sammich, for the salt beef and though it was a bit of a con. It's a sandwich, FFS. When it arrived, you could remove the filling from the bread, toast the bread, add a salad and feed a family of four. THat was amazing, what a place!
Best Sandwich by far is down in Bristol at Sandwich Sandwich, must go if you like a good quality sandwich - abit expensive but worth it for the quality and size of them
Giardiniera is made of pickled veggies (usually bell peppers, celery, carrots, cauliflower) in vinegar (or oil). I most often eat it with stuff like bollito misto
That Gardiniera sauce.....I found the best one. Called "Cascina Pizzavacca." Big pieces of pickled veg that you cannot find elsewhere. Has lovely caremmilised onions in it. Italians use it as part of their antipasto. Sausage roll looked great too, I have to say.
Wheels are gubbed Danny no amount of Touch Up, sanding etc will cut it. Whoever told you to hit them with a grinder is needing help. Best option is to get them professionally re furbished, there should be a few around your area that do it. If its done properly they will come back as brand new....normally costs around £80 per wheel
Great video as usual Danny, small question? Was this takeaway on the bus route from leeds bradford airport to leeds city centre, visited leeds last year and the scenery looked very familiar?
The bloke serving you was class. Absolutely smashing his job with that perfect service
haha he had to repeat the order ffs
You are the bloke serving aren't you?
@@geckolor no I'm someone who's had and seen low standards of service so I can appreciate when someone does a stella job
He knew who he was as he called him Danny.
Only problem is that he looked like a registered sex offender
Great place! Dude taking the order is champ at explaining the menu with passion… I love places like this. Hopefully they continue to succeed 👍

Wonderful little gem of a place in Leeds!
You can tell the owner is passionate about food he sell, just by the way he spoke about his menu.
Well done Danny for finding another hidden gem.
He wasn't the owner
When Danny does his “oh my God” Undertaker eyes roll…. You know it’s good
Not really. He does that when he's having a poo.
Must have been good as Danny was wearing most of it on his face.
So good to see that they pay attention to detail. Class. Respect to them
The best part about all this is that the sandwich bun never fell apart. Drives me bonkers when the buns fall apart.
the review guy is not really eating them properly
one handed and opening them - kmon mate
It'll probably be because it's made in store rather than standard bought in with a whole load of chemicals.
When they fall apart it is usually the frozen buns, drives me bonkers as well.
I can’t be the only one skips 20 mins in til the food has been served 😂😂
I listen to where he's going and then skip to ordering. I can do without 10 minutes of dad jokes and parking the van.
In it no one cares
It’s ridiculous.
He’s run his course.

Danny, like a natural treasure, what a guy, seems a genuine nice bloke
14:17'' My meatballs are so tasty ,especialy with that special sauce'' LOL !!! My word !!
Superb service with a smile, lovely chappy making the best delicious sarnies.
The server is efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and an asset to this business. Love the menu , not the usual boring sandwiches .
Young bloke is a credit to the shop.
4:29 No idea if its cuz i just toked up or if it was genuinely hilarious but im dying watching danny catch himself with the door xDD
Nice one for putting me in the video best meatball sub ever pal.
Danny, you broke John Shuttleworth's no. 1 rule. "You can't go back to savoury now!"
That shepherd's pie was stunning, but I'm half way through my pudding!
My taste buds would go crazy!
Should I press on with my afters or go back to my main?
That lad should be the benchmark for customer service!
The beef brisket or salt beef looks amazing ,great price aswell .Danny will be back 😂
If you go into a sandwich shop in the UK and they've got home made sausage rolls like that, you know it's serious.
Everything looked ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!
😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
Safe Journey!
Yellowbird Blue Agave Sriracha!!!

Frankie and Tony's sandwich shop in Newcastle. The spot is packed every day been open for years.

There is a sandwich shop in Brierly (South Yorkshire) on St Paul Church. You need to try that breakfast, they also do Sunday Dinners on a Sunday.
I call it a Sunday dinner as well, even though it’s technically a roast dinner! 😂
So it’s a Sunday roast !
Noo it's a roast when it's during the week. A Tuesday roast😭🤣
Hi, do they do this sunday food on Tuesday. go to church sunday. Thanks in advance
It’s a solid 10 from me today Danny.

Food looked tremendous great review Danny wish it was near here
