Project History:
The TPA3251 chipset from T.I. runs the main chipset of the TPA3251 module PCBA which will be used to replaced the EOL chipset from NXP the TDA8920BTH and TDA8950TH.

nice to see someone actually looking into the distortion problem of these cheap end boards. i've tried a few and the distortion has made them rather useless. next i'll be trying TDA7498E because i saw some okayish measurements of it (low distortion & low noise/hiss). The FOSI V3 has a very good sound btw but it is very limited in terms of its connections.

thank you for your nice comment. I agree with you about these TPA325x (50/51/55) standalone modules (from China, maybe) are useless modules in a point of maximizing its power output capability specially when loading it with 4 ohms load/speakers -- the worst when tried 3 ohms or even 2 ohms, if there is no supervisory Micro Controller that manage the killing point (shutdown caused by overtemperature). In terms of distortion parametrically was fine with 1 KHZ signal, however, I am not yet into the casing level where I can hook the real speakers and have my listening pleasure. Soon, once the casing done with all the cabling and its own SMPS, I can perform the Sound Quality, Stereo Separation, S/N, Distortion with my equipment and also acoustically. It looks the TDA7498E sounds interesting to look at, anyone send a sample to me for a try?

Thanks for asking, the short answer is ...... not really! I am sharing the adventure of this chipset specific to the modular board (chinese made board), oppurtunities, improvements , the good stuff and the thigns I personally I don't like --- its the "killing point".
