CoeShow keeps telling me to get that model as well. Says it’s awesome too 🚁
Highly recommend having the RAW 580! Hands-down my favorite helicopter ever made in my go to flyer!
That thing is jammin! I have a Kracken 580 6s that is my favorite to fly. I don't have any raws yet...
It is! The Kraken 580 is great and flys awesome! I highly recommend the RAW!
After I figure out which 700 to build I'll have to add a raw 580 to the collection. I'm torn between a Tron 7.0, Raw 700 or an Align TB70 for my 700 build. I also would love to build an M4 in the near future as well.
I would wait on the M4 or get a RS4 Venom! Videos coming soon on why. I highly recommend the RAW 700! It’s a beast! I need to get mine done. Flew a bunch of them and love it. My favorite 700. But! I’ll have a TB70 soon enough to review and fly so I’ll see then how good it is.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 good to know on the RS4 VS. M4 debate. I'll probably just get the RS4. Yeah I'm definitely leaning more towards the RAW 700. I can't do it for a while though or my wife is going to murder me lol 😂. I just bought a house and all my free money is going to fix it up. I also just finished my Nimbus 550. So she probably wouldn't be too impressed if I went and dropped another $2500 on a 700 😂
Whats your next heli that you want for your personal collection?
Hmm! I would say either an Align TB70 or the TN70. My neck Speed helicopter I want to get is the Diablo.
Great see in you and supporting it. I have a question with the ix12 . what happens flying a helicopter with it an the app stop working... do you guys have any info about it? Thanks
Are you using mini or full size servos for cyclic? Thanks for your help. Love your videos.
Thank you! I greatly appreciate it! I’m running mini cyclic servos and full size tail. Torq 1208 on cyclic and 0704T on tail. On a 12s 580 I built I run full size all the way around but 6s I use mini
Hey Jeff, first of all, i have to thank you! You and your videos brought me back to flying, aftter almost five years not doing so. You built so many 580´s, maybe you can help me. I built a 580 Raw and i have some sort of loud sqeeek sound when using pitch and especially nick. Figured out, it comes from the antirotationbracket and swashplatebolt. Have you ever had such a sound on any 580? Used some lube, but still. Is it possible, that the swashplate doesn´t run freely, so that there is a lot of pressure? I like your content a lot, thanks for that.
Hello! Welcome back! I’m glad my videos are the reason for you to come back to flying! Yes I’ve built ALOT of 580s lol over 16 of them now. No, never had that. So the noise is coming from the antirotation pin going into the bracket? Is it tight?
Hello, thanks for replying! Yep i think thats the source for that sound. It's also a very tight fit in there. A little lube solved it while i carry it to the field, in the air i can hear it again. Thats a little strange.
Hi from the uk I bought this helicopter and loved your build video awesome . So took it for a test fly the other day and my idleup 1 is 70% I got a gyro gain of 45% . In idleup2 at 80% throttle curve I got wag at 35% gain the wag was random I am using a beastx and align digital servo for the tail only asking has this setup came out of my 700 and my gyro gains was higher that's all . And followed the video for servo ball length 18mm centre. Any advice. be good I did put the post on a forum and few people said they also got around 30% on gyro gain seems low to me lol I am using a radiometer tx16s mk2
I have run as low as 22% gain at higher head to speed you could definitely go lower. You got to remember radiomaster percentages are a lot higher than other radio so if you are at 40%, for example, in the radiomaster that’s really like 70%. So go lower till the wag goes away and you still have good tail performance.
You need one for NEO tail tuning. I think you had one as well. I am battling so bad with tail wag in all my helis it's really not funny anymore.
I’m working on the bar videos as we speak. I just finished the set up video and I will do some tuning videos as well!
35 degrees in June? This must have been recorded a while back....when weather was nicer. (I'm in Mesa , AZ so it's like 100+)
Lol no, this video was filmed a while back and I forgot I never uploaded it! It’s 90 plus here. I wish it was 30 degrees! Lol
Hi mate, do you recommend any site to buy Heli kits and parts? Thank you
Hello! I purchase everything from either Helidirect or BKhobbies. They are my go to place for purchasing any helicopter parts.
I love my 580 but in your opinion is it worth going up to the Piuma on 6s
I love my piuma! Fly it all the time. Definitely recommend it. I fly mine on 12s though.
Nice flying as always. Seems like remote id is coming for our hobby and not many people are talking about it, what is your take on it
Thank you! It is, I have my views and takes on it, but I don’t talk about it. Depending on where are you fly in the field/section that if you fly at a AMA field then you are exempt from having to use any remote identification, if your field applied for it.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 cheers mate for the reply its a big concern here in australia and newzealand .
That how to tune ikon vid hasn't come out has it?
No, it’s almost done. Life has been very hectic recently, and it got put to the back burner.
Hey man I have a 450 pro that I am struggling to get set up. Anyway you could help?
@westhobbiesrc8051 the AR7210 set up. The lights don't match anything in the manual I have for it, and it requires my throttle to change paramater instead of aileron or rudder which prevents me from setting pitch.
Love your channel. How does this compare to Nimbus 550?
Thank you! I’m glad you like the channel. I think it flys better. I like the Nimbus 550 a lot but the RAW 580 is definitely my favorite heli!
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I'm torn between the Tron 5.8 and Raw 580. Will be running on 12s 600mm blades. Have you had any experience with the Tron ?
@@nathanc8206 I’ve only flown the Nitron and it flew really good. I’ve built and flown the RAW 580 on 12s with 606mm blades and it’s a beast! Incredible power and floats! Highly recommend it.
Dumb question. How does governor gain cause a tail wag?
Not a dumb question at all, so Governor Dane responds to how it keeps the motor rpm steady. The higher, the governor gain, the more consistent your rpm is, but with the motor pulsating at a high frequency, can cause the tail of the helicopter to wag.
i'm italian explains in a simple way when you have that tail wag. I tell you what to move
Tail wag has already been taken care of just had the lower tail gain a few.
Hi I want to contact you for a goblin setup
Send me an email in the description and I will help you with what I can!
Cracking heli 👍🏻
Super slick sticks 🙌🏻
Thank you! I appreciate it.
