Hey Everyone!
Oh man.... this was a wild one. We saw the Kerala Blasters play against Calcutta's Mohun Bagan. It was an INSANE football match. The fans are wild, passionate and supportive. In 9 minutes there was literally 4 goals scored, back forth back forth. Despite the turnout in this travel vlog, the Blaster's Army did not give up on their team. They will support no matter what.
Keenan and I were shocked at our first experience going to an Indian sporting event. We thought for sure it would be cricket... we were so wrong. Keralite love their football and they love their Blasters. It was amazing to see the culture, get involved in the chants, have the snacks, and be totally immersed in the atmosphere.
Thanks again Kerala Blasters (and the 12th man) for the incredible time. We hope to come back again!

ചേട്ടാ.... ഇതൊരു വന്യമായിരുന്നു. കൽക്കട്ടയുടെ മോഹൻ ബഗാനെതിരെ കേരള ബ്ലാസ്റ്റേഴ്‌സ് കളിക്കുന്നത് നമ്മൾ കണ്ടു. അത് ഒരു ഭ്രാന്തൻ ഫുട്ബോൾ മത്സരമായിരുന്നു. ആരാധകർ വന്യവും വികാരഭരിതരും പിന്തുണ നൽകുന്നവരുമാണ്. 9 മിനിറ്റിനുള്ളിൽ അക്ഷരാർത്ഥത്തിൽ 4 ഗോളുകൾ പിറന്നു, പിന്നോട്ട്. ഈ ട്രാവൽ വ്ലോഗിൽ ജനപങ്കാളിത്തം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടും ബ്ലാസ്റ്റേഴ്‌സ് ആർമി തങ്ങളുടെ ടീമിനെ കൈവിട്ടില്ല. എന്ത് വന്നാലും അവർ സപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യും.
ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ കായിക മത്സരത്തിന് പോയ ആദ്യ അനുഭവത്തിൽ ഞാനും കീനനും ഞെട്ടിപ്പോയി. ഉറപ്പായും അത് ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ആയിരിക്കുമെന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ കരുതി... ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് തെറ്റി. കേരളീയർ അവരുടെ ഫുട്ബോളിനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു, അവർ അവരുടെ ബ്ലാസ്റ്റേഴ്സിനെയും സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു. സംസ്കാരം കാണുന്നതും ഗാനമേളകളിൽ ഏർപ്പെടുന്നതും ലഘുഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കുന്നതും അന്തരീക്ഷത്തിൽ പൂർണ്ണമായും മുഴുകുന്നതും അതിശയകരമായിരുന്നു.
അവിശ്വസനീയമായ സമയത്തിന് കേരള ബ്ലാസ്റ്റേഴ്സിന് (പന്ത്രണ്ടാം ആൾ) വീണ്ടും നന്ദി. വീണ്ടും വരുമെന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു!

Kerala Blasters is a mid table team since it's not a very rich club but it easily has the most passionate fan culture in South Asia. KBFC ultras are called "Manjappada" (yellow army) and is notorious all across Indian football scene for their loyalty and dedication to travelling all across India with the team.

@@Unstuk also be careful while going into the crowd specially for ladies. Don’t go too deep into the crowd. Let me check I have my club very close to the festival, if I can fix a room for you guys, u will be more comfortable. It’s just in the center of town.

As i said earlier, in your thrisurpooram videos, please be mindful of the crows. Kerala is similar to sri lanka btw. I visited sri lanka last year and it has similar traditions, food and culture in relation to kerala. I'm a kerala native but live there.

And Mohan Bagan is the oldest football club in India. Kolkata has the largest football/athletic stadium 🏟️ in india. They may have a good fanbase but it's nothing compared to Mohan Bagan vs East Bengal fans . And most of it , just because of media, it's just overrated like their backwaters.
