May 2022 Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean Cruise Day 4: Tortola and Jost Van Dyke

- We visited Tortola, BVI and Jost Van Dyke for a lovely beach day. Soggy Dollar Bar, the home of the original Painkiller cocktail was a must visit. We enjoyed a delicious lunch on the beach of salad, pasta salad, rice, chicken, ribs and fish, all included with our excursion. After a full day in the sun, we low-key enjoyed pirate night and dinner in Enchanted Garden.

Yes, it is the beach day, not the beach transfer.
The core of this video is a good quick summary to the trip to Josh Van Dyke, but our experience was not as positive. We were at Josh Van Dyke last Tuesday (Dec 13, 2022) and, unfortunately, experienced a high tide and rather rough waves. Therefore, the "beach" in front of a retaining wall was only about two deck lounge chairs in depth (
So sorry the seas were rough. That would definitely impact the experience!
The St. Thomas excursion sounds amazing. Unfortunately this stop is not on our itinerary.
Its not a theme park, its real world with real conditions, amzaes me that people can be literally in paradise and can still find things to complain about. life is short with no garantees of a tomorrow. try to enjoy the moment.

How exciting! I want to say it was $10, but I’m not totally sure. Each person got 1 drink ticket and 1 meal ticket. The meal did not include a drink so most people used their drink ticket with their meal. Bottled water was included on the boat ride over and back, and rum punch was served on the boat ride back. It was a fun day! Enjoy!
We are thinking of booking this excursion. Thank you for sharing all the details! Was it hard to get a chair? Do you pay extra for that and should we bring cash with us?
Not hard at all! Chairs and umbrellas were included. We brought cash for tips, extra drinks and souvenirs.
What was the times of the excursions?....on and off the ship?
We were off the ship by 9:30 am. I believe we met in the theater at 9 or 9:15. We arrived back to the dock around 3:30, which is a very short walk back to the ship. We were probably back on the ship by 3:45.
Did the vendors accept American dollars?
