The worst feeling as a forklift operator is when you know the stack is going to fall and there's nothing you can do about it. The only way to have saved it was if they had another forklift to brace the side of each pallet as the other down stacked them individually.
Yep, he should have immediately set it back down and told them to get another forklift to do that instead of them just watching and recording. But also like everyone else was saying even then that warehouse looks like trash
All you would have needed to do was get another fork truck to brace the ones underneath the one he was trying to pull. Every other one after that would have been fine to take down without bracing. I've been doing this for more years then I can count. Now that is only to say if the pallets were stable, so in this situation you are correct, it would have been best to brace all pallets. In some cases you don't have to
Well, the bottom one was already down. I would have simply lowered the skid back down and stabilized the stack. Then go from there. Weight CAN help sometimes.

those boxes are stacked in a really unprofessional way on the pallets, and the pallets are stacked on eachother awfully as well. its not the forklift operators fault at all. the boss must teach their workers how to stack boxes properly and buy some racks to store pallets. i know im a little too late but youtube just recommended this for me just now lol
Bosses are so worried about losing production that they want everything and anything stacked as fast as possible without Interfering with any one else's work routine

@@Xtrancas Yea and seem not lifted up high as turn it was pushing pallet under with the turn but should just backed up then lowered also can see the bottom pallet boxes were also giving out due to weight
Sometimes, there are situations where a team lift can be performed with multiple lifts. Someone could have forked the stack from the side or at least held the stack up with the forks as the other operator destacked the loads.
That dude is NOT a forklift Operator.....he knows how the handles work and how to drive it around ...BUT....he is Not an operator.....Real Operator would not have even tried that....hell he was already off with the 2nd pallet
I'm not trained in any way to operate one of these but even from that perspective it seems that for one the boxes are stacked way too high and are very unstable to begin with--not to mention him not knowing how to drive it
Employees that don’t care about the product. First thing I thought of was to get something to brace the lower pallets before he backed up. Then make restacking first priority. This goes to show the lazy people that are only there for a paycheck
Have a look at the unorganised way things are stacked there! That’s probably the boss on the forklift after the employees refused to continue to work with such conditions is my guess. They’re making an example out of him!
this is where you stop and try you damndest to keep it standing until you figure out a way to stop it from falling. I'll give this guy the benefit of the doubt and assume thats what he was trying to do, undone by a bad viewpoint

No fail forklift is not perfect! Driver is fault not good job too messy leaning toward not straight pallets stack failed! It s warehouse take it responsibility!
The fact that this was recorded is shameful. Instead of the camera man stepping up to prevent what he obviously knew was going to happen, he decides to pull his phone out to record. The camera man should be fired.
It's not a forklift fail - it's a warehouse fail.
Its a humanity fail. People who would rather get views on youtube then actually help in the real world.
Dicks.
I would say it kinda was the forklift who stacked them on each other before this guy now. Talk to the night crew
@@hellomyfriends9740 lmao
Absolutely. However, the operator nevertheless erred by not tilting back after clearing the stack.

Once that bottom pallet gets soft it's over unless you have quick help like 2 seconds away

NIce!! He brought all four of them down at the same time! I say that's efficient.
lmao

Not a single person in that video knows what hes doing lol.
Should pick it up from the 2nd pallet. The bottom pallet was caving in due to a damaged box
Depending on the weight that’s a real fast way to tip over a forklift

The forklift operator did a good job. It's the fault of whoever is in charge of this warehouse
Operators should still recognize an unsafe situation and adapt to safely resolve it.
Yea ok... check out his forks are till forward
You can see them leaning from the start. Should've left them alone. Smh

this is failure on multiple levels. notice even after the stack fell over, the driver didn't lower the load and nobody called him out.
Looks like 5yr old stacked that whole warehouse
In this situation, all they need to do was stack four empty crates near those pallets then it will prevent the stack from falling.
Impressive. Very nice. Now lets see OSHA certificate

who tf stacked that shit in the first place.

Stacking integrity out the window
