    I feel you regarding fountain pens! Sometimes a cheap one is the best… but there are so many variations that can make a difference, pen, nib size, ink, paper all contribute 😊 Thanks for sharing sketch inks… I have a bottle of fountain ink from same brand but didn’t know they had sketch inks!

    Well... You have good taste! My favorite inks and my favorite pens.
    With preppy's seal cap you should be fine with no cleaning for a few months. Mine was with Frieda still, not used for 3 months and didn't even hardstart. Writing just fine.

    The inks taking different times to dry would probably be related to the pigments and how they mix. Even print shop inks dry at different rates.

    Awesome video! When you were testing the Carmen ink you mentioned Noodler's Apache sunset but I think they have renamed it to southwest sunset; just in case anyone is looking for it

    Thank you so much for this video. I just ordered 2 more Platinum Preppys and a few bottles of Sketch Ink too from Jet Pens. I’ve had the Lily for awhile now. I am totally new to fountain pens and I’m too chicken to add the liquid ink 😬 so I’ve been using a cartridge in the Preppy I already have - which I originally ordered from your recommendation. I am a lefty and after watching this video it gives me hope with these inks. That being said - is there any way you could please do a video showing the process for us newbies. 😊

      That makes me so happy that you are loving the Preppy! I got two of my NON planner friends hooked on them too 🤣
      I think I will pin a story on my instagram showing the two ways I fill my Preppies! One way is with a converter and the other is with a syringe. I'll try to get it done in the next day or so. TFW!!!

    can we use carmen color for skin tones instead of mixing colors to get the color of the human skin? and do you know if there are the primary CMYK colors for this brand cyan magenta yellow and black?

    • @DiaMeraz
      @DiaMeraz  Před rokem +2

      I only use these for writing in my journals and planners. I'm not much of an artist. I do know that they don't sell this line with the primary colors. It is a pretty limited selection. Hope that helps!

    I shy away from fountain pens because if the loading of the ink. Are these preppy pens easy to load?

    • @DiaMeraz
      @DiaMeraz  Před rokem

      I refill the original cartridges with a syringe. But my husband uses the converter and I feel like they are pretty easy to use. The only downside is that they cost more than the pen itself.

    Ooooh! I want to try them all! 😍 But mostly “Carmen”, “Lilly” & “Emma”. “Emma” seems to be kind of similar as their “Alt-Goldgrün ink (which I love!). Have you tried that one & do you find that they are similar in real life too? 😊
    I’ve never tried the Preppy fp, but maybe that’s something to consider with these inks then? 😉 I’ve only tried the Pilot Kaküno as a pen that’s on the cheaper side. Have you tried that one & how, i’m that case, do you find it compares to the Preppy?

    • @DiaMeraz
      @DiaMeraz  Před 10 měsíci

      I LOVE the Kakuno! It was my favorite pen until I discovered the Preppy. I think I prefer that nib over the preppy, but I find that the Preppy fits the way I grip my oen better. You just made me miss my Kakuno's though!

    • @didiirwin
      @didiirwin Před 2 měsíci

      I have both the Emma and the Alt-Goldgrün and there is quite a difference between them. The Emma is like a bright olive or a dark sap green whereas the Alt-Goldgrün is a deep deep olive. I also own the Lotte and the Frieda and they are beautiful, especially the Frieda which is gorgeous. Hope this helps 🤗

      Oh no! That is good to know. I have had the same happen with Bay State Blue and a few other brands. I feel a lot less stressed testing new ink in my Platinum Preppy's than some of my more expensive pens.
