This game was a perfect example of a really good, one-dimensional team, running into a REALLY GOOD football team. The end result speaks for itself. To win at this level consistently, you need to be able to both run and pass, as well as defend both. In the eastern parts of the state, where teams rarely see a pass thrown at them during their regular season AND playoff runs, are utterly lost when they have to play a team like this.
Wallace-Rose Hill had to play a decent team in semis too. That happened to be my high school. Princeton
@@fire6600 No offense but Princeton would have fared no better than WRH did against Shelby. In the game with Wallace, Princeton threw 4 times total with one completion for 7 yards. Shelby passes that much on one drive. Teams that are uncomfortable using the pass, are equally uncomfortable defending it as well. This is what we saw in that ST championship game. A team that runs into a multi faceted team rarely ends well, and is often ugly.
You obviously didn't watch the game. Both teams was one dimension. One was a passing team and the other was a running team. WALLACE GOT OUT COACHED
@@roberickroberts6173 I obviously DID watch the game....Several times. Wallace did not get "out coached." Coaches dont play the game.. When you sell out to stop the run, as Wallace did, you damn well better be able to defend the pass man on man. They could not. When Shelby filled the box Wallace had no answer because they couldnt complete passes. Bottom line is Rose Hill simply met a better team with a better scheme.
Shelby didn't defend the run and Wallace didn't defend the pass. It came to onside kicks and play calling. Kanye rushed for 253 and 5 tds. The other running backs were over a 100 yards so how you determined that.
