- In this video I’m building a flip-top miter saw workbench with an integrated table saw.
All my plans in both Imperial and Metric!
You can get the plans here: etsy.me/44IKdtG
And here you can find all my other plans: www.etsy.com/se-en/shop/Desir...
If you know how to join two planks and have built something with Lego, then you will have no problem understanding the plans.
The build process was very fun and had a lot of tricky parts with some innovative solutions. A workbench is something anyone who does a lot of projects should have. I have been doing all my projects on the floor, on the kitchen table, or on a stack of car tires with an old bookshelf on top of them, but THAT ENDS NOW.
Some tools used in the project

Wow, I can’t even lie, I’ve seen every single table saw/workbench on CZcams. This one is by far, the absolute best one by far. The attention to detail does my OCD so good and just the craftsmanship alone deserves a subscribe, like, and an extensive comment. Well done my friend. I’m looking forward to building one of my own soon, and I will be using a lot of the same ideas as this table. You are an artist and a craftsman of almost unparalleled skill. 110% grade score in my book. Can’t wait to binge watch the rest of your channel. Thank you for the amazing content. As I was watching, my wife asked what I was going and I simply replied “watching the absolute best video there is on CZcams, I’ll be here for a few more minutes” hahaha 🤣 😆
I agree with what you have said! This guy is by far the most detail oriented wood craftsman I've seen so far on u tube! I want to build one myself and I love the hardwood top he put on there, really sets it apart from everyone else's plywood!
I agree with everything you said, infact I watched another video and then came back to this one. Should have watched this one first.......
Most wholesome comment on youtube possibly
Im a few seconds in and your comment earned him a subscribe
Watched in amazement. The part showing the clearance for the power cord blew my mind, I would not have thought of that.
I actually ended up removing even more material, not mush but as you might see it catch a little bit on the corners so i just rounded them a bit.
Well it all looks awesome!
Beautiful… I was a bit confused when you pulled out the wood flooring, but then quickly became impressed with your idea…
Beautiful work of art!
This is a trabl that you build and not work off because it looks great. It's the type your buddies come over and drink beer and talk about how you built it. Great job.
I am very rarely speechless. This is one of those times where I am. In my mind I keep saying, "Thou shalt not covet, Thou shalt not covet" while I am wiping away the drool!
The best workmanship I've seen on CZcams.
Im unsubscribing from everone else.
This table will outlive us all.
Hahahaha :D Thanks!
Wow, what an awesome job creating your worktable. It will last a lifetime and then some.
This thing is like a friggin piece of furniture! Beautiful.
Mycket snyggt! Bra att du även visar missarna du gör! Även vi lär oss av dom.
Inte lätt att räkna på allt. Skoj att de gillade det :)
Best I have seen, with basic tools well done, German engineering
This isn’t for a novice carpenter. This man has skills and the tools to do this. Recognize master craftsman. Great job. How long did it take to build this masterpiece?
Well i was and still think of my self as a "novice carpenter", as you can see, I have nothing in my workshop and if I zoomed out some more then you would have seen me sitting on the flooring doing most of the work :D Planing the project was the part that took the longest. Building it did only take a few days and it was very fun to do!
Kul att se fler svenska makers! Det blev en riktigt grym arbetsbänk! Kul att se!
Tack så mycket, å mer filmer blir det!
Great table! Way beyond my skillset to build lol. When I do decide to build my table, I will certainly use some of the brilliant ideas from this video to incorporate.
I don't know what country you're in, but that construction lumber looks perfect! All our wood in America is crap!
Yeah it's alright I suppose, it'll do the job.
As long as you're happy 😀
I bet you never got could do better in your woodwork school report
Awesome job and great camera work as well
👏👍👏👍👏👍
Wow, that’s all I got. Like the idea with the flooring on top. This is a showcase piece.
Absolutely beautiful table. I've purchased the plans and was hoping that you created them in SketchUp and wouldn't mind sharing the plans. I want to add my router table to the end opposite the table saw and make minor changes in a few dimensions. Thank you in advance!
Beautiful, practical, and very inspiring! That hardwood flooring idea was really creative. I like everyone else here…. I’m looking for a space saving , mobile/practical workstation for my miter and table saw’s. You should sell the plans for this 👍
Agreed! I would buy the plans too. This bench is a game changer for a small shop!
I did just finish the plans for this, link to it in the description, only took me one year to do it :D
@@DesireToInspire1 Outstanding! Thank you. I'll be giving this a go, as soon as my garage is finished.
This one is so nice and outstanding detail. It’s also way above my skill level. I found a novice one that will work but maybe one day I could build this too.
Fantastic build. Thanks for sharing!
This was a really nice job. I built a smaller rolling table for belt sanders and grinder. I recommend using a long vertical board on a hinge that moves out of the way for rotating the top and back under to transfer load all the way down to the base of the frame. Over time the latch you used may creep and with the board you can actually pound on the top with no worries
"LIKE A GLOVE!" 👍🏼👍🏼 Haha
Those Craig jigs are dope right. Makes things waaay easier.
1 thing i have to say WOW 😮 AMAZING 👏🏼
Fabulous build, impeccable detail, well designed, I could go on with superlatives but that would be slowing me down from starting my own table. Exactly what I have been looking for to have easy access to my miter saw. Never bought a set of plans in 40+ years of woodworking. This just might be the first. THANK YOU for such an informative video!
Fantastic
Wow, of the ones I’ve seen this one is built of easy to source, affordable materials and still looks great. Really amazing build, thanks!
I'm glad that you liked it!
Gorgeous. And the design of an experienced problem encouterer.
Great build. Really amazing. This is a project worth paying for the blueprint. I mean a PDF blueprint. Thanks for sharing
I just finished the plans today. Link to it in description if you are interested :)
I love your work ! You have the patience of a saint. Thanks for the great video :)
This Is not just woodwork, this a a serious engineering masterpiece. Well done. It gave me a few ideas but it will be a less ambitious project.
This is definitely one of the best workbench ideas I've seen, id be paranoid about the finish just in case I scratch it lol
Amazing portable work bench build video!!!
Over the top. Exactly what I need!!!
Like a chef with his 10 course meal, but you use wood which isn't edible. Lots of tender loving care was put into this presentation.
I absolutely love this workbench. You did such an awesome job Kenny!
Nice work
I have a fair bit of old flooring pieces I was going to throw out.
I never thought to repurpose them like your build.
I hope all is still well with your bench after 12 months of use.
Agree with one of the comments here its one of the best I have seen so far
Wow! I thought I had seen the best in bench saw tables combined with drop saw tables until I came across this video. Beautiful workmanship. Well done. I've subscribed...
Glad you liked it, thanks a lot :D
I never would have thought of putting wooden flooring on top, it makes it look so much better than just plywood.
This... is truly a masterpiece! This has given me ideas for my desk backboard I'm currently working on. Wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with the backboard, was thinking using some sort of kitchen type tiles, but floor laminate was something I didn't think of.
A+ Build.
Holy Schnikie !!
SERIOUS craftsmanship..
Thank You
Thanks for watching, it means a lot to me!
WOW!! You're skill level is amazing. I would never attempt a build like that.......... even with the plans. Absolutely the best I've ever seen on You Tube. (I just clicked on Subscribe)
Damn. You guys out there in the world are so inventive.
This is the best working bench I’ve seen
Impressive, just the way I would like to do, but don't have the space. Thumbs up and a great job.
Great build!!!! One of the best I have seen. I build a cheap one years ago and had a hell of a time getting the top and the fence to line up perfect!
Phenomenal build! Love the precise measuring/cutting and custom built pieces! Very, very nice work bench!!!
My friend, this is best workbench so far, and I saw plenty of them :D
work of art! Thanks for some great ideas that I can use myself.
Glad you find some inspiration!
Absolutely beautiful. I am inspired! I thought I'd seen every possible iteration of this type of workbench, but you've set the bar higher than ever, and now I need to get to work!
Using the slats blew my mind away, I have built a work bench for my mother with a mitresaw using this technique! Thank you for the inspiration!
The hardwood flooring top is a great idea. Gives it a beautiful look and adds tickness/weight at a price cheaper than finished plywood. I’m going to make a very similar table and but later add a router section with some t tracks and perhaps a 2nd flip station for planar/sanding down the line.
Thanks! I did just add my ScetchUp drawings in the description. I have also included future upgrades including a table router and additional t-tracks ;-)
@@DesireToInspire1 wow!.. did you add those yet? Bravo 👏👏👏🏆
@@27photogger Sorry not yet, it will be made this winter. I have had my hand fully with a pool project this summer.
@@DesireToInspire1 any Chance you might create an all inclusive materials list and/or cut list/measurements?
Bravo! This is a beautiful build! Your attention to detail is very evident. Thank you for sharing.
Magnifique travail, BRAVO!!!
Good-looking build, as always.
Awesome table. Need a built plan for it
Absolute Precision.
very nice job, i really liked the way you use stop blocks and clamps to make sure you had proper alignment when matching up 2x4 joints.
It’s beautiful but god it’s big! 😳 I’m trying to figure out a way to reclaim some floor space. Thanks for the vid brother!
Simply incredible. God level patience.
Incredible, have been looking at different workbench builds over the last few weeks and this is far superior to any of them.
I aspire to be able to build a bench to this quality. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks you for the kind words!
Kenny, @DesireToInspire1, there is an error in the imperial plans. In step 5, the leftmost F joist needs to be 31 inches from the EDGE of the frame, not the inside corner of the frame. The graphic shows that joist 31 inches from the inside corner of the frame. This puts it 31+1.5 = 32.5 inches from the edge of the frame, where the rightmost F joist is 59 inches from the edge, as directed by the plans. 59-32.5 is 26.5, not 28, as is required for the flip top. This is a pretty big error, as fixing it would require some major surgery. Luckily, my Miter saw should fit, with 1/4 of an inch to spare. I’ll just scale down the flip top.
Just 4 minutes into this video, I must say I admire your talent and attention to detail, Well done.
That fancy alignment tool you used while attaching legs, (your foot) , nice touch
Well you got to use what ever you have when you don't have much to begin with :)
This is a great bench. Congratulations on the best design I have seen. Cheers Singoau
Hi inspired by your bench do you have plans to sell?
It's FREE in the description. But you need to know how to use Sketchup :)
@@DesireToInspire1 I found the plans OK< but I don't have Sketchup and I can't use the free trial version😢
So well build and your attention to details are top notch. I always want a miter saw with flip top and build in table saw like yours but with limited space in my garage. I will try something similar with a smaller scale. Thank you for sharing your work.
Thank so you so much for those kind words. I hope you make an awesome project!
Bravo! Very clear presentation. As a beginning woodworker this is a confidence-building vid. Watched it twice and will refer to it again as I progress. Thanks
I'm just as new to this as you are so I believe anything is possible if you just set your mind to it. I did create this work bench in Sketchup and was working on it for a very long time trying to figure out each step if it even was possible to build. In the end I felt ready enough to give it a try and it turned out way better then I hoped it would :) Having a great surface to work on make all other jobs so much more fun to do. In the bast I have always worked on the floor... felt it was time for a change.
Very beautiful! Too much for me, but I love the idea of flipping the miter saw!
Nice job, colleague!!!
That is fantastic! I've looked online and seen other designs that are much simpler but involve sliding the entire saw out to manually flip it over. I thought it could be done the way you've done it but couldn't work out the depth dimensions to have the open surface level. I admire your attention to detail too even with "common" lumber.
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Very interested in the flip top. Very well done with details. Love the fine adjustments.
Man, thats a beautiful design, and nice to see you taking care of details.. It'll be nice to see your channel growing a lot..! 🙏🏽
Excellent work. I'm inspired and will aim to build a replica for my shop. Thank you.
I'm glad you liked it, good luck with your build! ⚒️
Great design & excellent craftsmanship!
I’ve been wanting to build something similar for several years and finally found the design I want to duplicate. Thank you so much for sharing your plans
I'm just happy i could inspire you to something :)
Do you have the plans?
It's an incredible project. Way over my head.
Thanks :) It was my first big project I made my self, took ages to design.
Fantastic design, great details. Thanks for sharing this. Going to copy a lot of this build for my own table.
Would love to see that :)
great job brother. Very nice!!!
That was a lot of fun to watch! Thanks for the upload!
Thanks for watching 👍
That is a thing of beauty great skill
For a work bench wow. Just wow
Absolutely beautiful!
Beautifully Done! I wish I had the time, energy and skill to make such an amazing table - Thanks for sharing
Building is not that hard. The most difficult part is designing it. I spent many months planing it, going over everything in my head over and over again. When i finally started to built it then it was not much more complicated then puttning together some bricks of Lego :D Keep in mind that this was the first time i ever built something in wood so i had probably a lot less experience then you do now. I uploaded plans for this build today, you can find it in the description. They are designen just like how you build Lego, you barley even need to read anything :D
Så jävla snyggt. Bara ta av sig hatten och buga ödmjukt. Otroligt imponerande både tillvägagånssätt och slutresultat.
Tack så mycket :)
That is amazing and beautiful my friend! I am building my shop right now, the shop needs a bench like this so I'll be doing something very similar to yours. Absolutely incredible! Thank you for sharing your talent and dedication to the art of woodworking!
Thank you so much :) Reading comments like this make me just wanna build even more!
Amazing build. Plans purchased. I only have a tiny workshop, 7ft x 7ft, so will scale to fit. Wish me luck!! 😀
Good luck!
A masterpiece! I like the hardwood flooring idea, I think I'll borrow it except, I won't put spruce trim around it......and I'll miter the flooring edges so it drapes over the sides.
I'm not sure what "spruce trim" is but i assume its the board i put around the bench to cover up the transition between the floorboards and the plywood. Yes i wanted to skip it to but the transition was just so ugly that i had to come up with something to cover it up. The "spruce trim" are now in the way when I want to install a bench vise so I have to come up with a solution for that. Thanks for watching the vid!
@@DesireToInspire1 Thanks for taking the time to post your projects. I used to make stair nosings and I used a color matching sealing felt marker which I will try on the round over edges on this project.
Geniale Idee und super Umsetzung. Kudos!
Amazing craftsmanship 🤗
Absolutely incredible!
Phenomenal. 👏👏👏👏
Sadly it would be too heavy for my shed floor and would crash through it, what with all that lumber AND the tools.
Awesome man I wish I had your shop keep going don't stop
It feels like I have an endless amount of things i wanna do. This winter will be a busy winter ☃️
But it’s too good to use!
Lovely. Good job.
I kinda have to agree :D I don't want to damage the countertop but then again, I don't have hard heavy objects with metal so very few dents have been made so far. Instead of floorboards, you can just put another layer of plywood or something similar.
A very nice design and build. I want one. I’ll have to download the cad file.
BRILLIANT !!
Fantastic job man! Well done! Perfect details! Subscribed.
Thanks a lot for you support :)
Mil felicitaciones, queda uno sin palabras para describir tan hermoso trabajo realizado. EXCELENTE
¡Muchas gracias!
Well done
That was very very good. Nice work 😍😍
I would love a set of blue prints to make this my self
丁寧、奇麗、機能的な作業台ができましたね。使うのが楽しくなるでしょう。
素晴らしいです。
ありがとうございます :)
