Correct. The fact of the matter is, Cracker, like most of us, has HIGH expectations of Ongina and Ongina didn't deliver. Whether we like HOW Cracker stated her opinion she did just that. Stated her opinion. AND she did it to the girls' faces. Alexis and MEHhem (the actual villians) saw Ongina struggling, and saw how versatile Cracker was and used this as a way to target Cracker. And everyone who isn't up Alexis ass, or of Hispanic heritage clocked it. Including Shea. No shade
I’m still so confused as to what Miz Cracker did that was so villainous other than that one episode she said ongina should be in the bottom, which she literally apologized for in the same episode. There’s something so weird about this fandom cause dragula girls are actually fighting where these girls are saying something slightly off kilter and y’all go berserk. It just doesn’t make sense to me lol
she was edited to be "the villain", like people don't realize that they think she's the villain because the show wants them to think that not cuz she's horrible, cuz she literally wasn't, Alexis as well but also her cuz the season was clearly made for Shea to win (as every season is made for someone to win) so they needed to make Cracker unlikable cuz she was doing better in the competition and they also needed to villainize Alexis cuz she picked Shea's lip stick with India giving them even more storyline potential there, so I'm glad people saw through with that with Alexis, but unfortunately not with Cracker and I think that's because of how charismatic Alexis is and Cracker didn't feel that charismatic this season, but it's sad to see the complete turnaround from S10 to this, we've seen it before with Milk but Cracker wasn't nearly as delusional as her, not even remotely close, and later we saw that with Jan, but after AS she recovered pretty quickly and I think that's again due to charisma, people will forgive anything if the person is charismatic
It's just a symbiotic relationship between the storylines production fabricates and the fandom that feeds into them. They are trying to be 'smart' and find the 'real villain', because they know the show is being heavily edited, but base their opinion on a selection of moments and their own biased views on the queens.
Does this season feel like a fever dream to anyone else? I dont know something felt super off about this season. I always forgot it happened... it also feels like 8 years since it aired.. also did it feel like the girls didnt really have good chemistry on camera together?
For me, it's how ... obvious it was. Of course, it was a Shea/Juju/Cracker Top 3 Of course Shea won Also, there were no twists or returning queens, Derrick got sent home first despite being reality TV Gold, Ongina didn't last long despite being a fan choice for years, queens were giving up every week, queens that should have been strong competitors were treated as filler (Mariah and Alexis), and Blair and India lasted longer than they should have.
I feel kinda bad for Cracker because as unnecessary as it was to tell Ongina she should go home when she's already doubting herself, I've definitely been in situations like that before where I think I'm representing myself well but I just look like an asshole. I genuinely don't think Cracker was playing mind games, I think she just overthinks stuff and when you live in your head like that you're inevitably going to upset people because you're not responding naturally to things.
Shea was destined to win this season. However, it shows how much these queens invest in a reality program. Shea is so much more than the queen who came up at the short end of the stick in the Sasha Velour lip sync, but that was the storyline that was given to her and the one she herself believed in and cultivated in All Stars. That's what I admire about Sasha: she's so much larger than drag race. It gave her the platform she wanted and that's about it and now she follows her own path.
