  • I'm posting this on CHRISTMAS EVE which is technically the only day this prayer can be taught to other people. Therefore, I figure that it doesn't matter what day you watch it on, because it was uploaded on the correct day.
If you can understand what Nonna is saying and you can type/write in Calabresi, please put the translation in the comments so I can add subtitles to it all later!

Amen.
3 goccie di olio in acqua:
    e c furi l'occhio aturi e c furi i cremensuri, padre figlio spirito santo.

It’s just water in the jug. You can remove it from yourself by doing this over an item of your clothing

Hi Melissa... Aside from the evil eye being removed, we might be related? If so I would like to be in touch to take notes and see if we are through our parents, husbands etc. Thank you Lucille Carling

Italy has radicated traditions and rituals in every single region and town since millennias, and they all survived the test of time being shared from family to family. Only because you can't understand it, it doesn't mean it's dumb, but maybe it might mean you're just ignorant in the true meaning of the term
