As someone who only got into the hoby in the past year (and did so in a big way), I really appreciate your 'Still worth it?' series of the classics! There's so few reviews of older games out there.
love the Worf hidden image, i always love your reviews as they are short, blunt and too the point. great over views for when im standing in the local shop and deciding if i might be interested in the game.
You do a very good job of explaining the game in a short amount of time. The content is great! I struggle with the video edits and artifacts. To me, they are very distracting to the actual content of the video. If you could just do a standard video recording it would be less distracting and easier to follow for me. Thanks for the great content!
@@BoardGameBollocks the cuts and edits in the video. There a quite a few in this one and it makes the entire video "jumpy". See time mark 2:20 to 2:40 as an example. The artifact, as I call it, is at 2:38 or 2:39, basically the color and blur enhancement. Thanks for the reply!
Hi...I’m afraid that’s just the style I like to shoot and edit. It provides fast pacing as I cut out all the pauses on my audio timeline. I’m sorry you don’t like it - to be fair it’s not used much if at all in Boardgame videos. Might I recommend The Dice Tower or Shut Up and Sit Down for more traditionally made videos.
@@BoardGameBollocks ah, that explains it. You basically shorten the video by removing the dead air space. I actually really enjoy the content, I just sometimes find myself rewatching a portion because there's no breathing room or pauses during many parts of the video. As I mentioned before, I love the content, it's just a bit harder to watch for me. I'll take a look at some of the others. The Zombicide one looks very intriguing. Keep up the good work!
I only played the digital version and liked it a lot. The one thing that fell a bit off, was that it was sometimes very "snowbally". Early good purchases seemed to decide a clear leader and likely winner way to soon. Not sure if this is accurate, though. Maybe I was not playing that well against the AI.
@@BoardGameBollocks Doesn't really matter, as long as you're having fun. I like both and other hobbies just as much. I was more curious whether you agreed with the part about the Le Havre being susceptible to turn into a snowbally game, with no avenues for comeback.

You’re welcome mate. Some of the best games are the older ones.
Just discovered your channel today and I wanted to say I like the rebrand you did to boardgamebollocks and the unique style of reviewing you do!

Cheers mate. At least you didnt say in the shower.
Thanks forbthe review, takes a lot of effort. Just managed to pick up an affordable used copy.
This was my Christmas addition to my collection. Plan to play it with 3 and 2 exclusively, there are other games for 4 or more :)
Amazing choice for 3...this and ‘Maria’ are the best for 3 players
@@BoardGameBollocks I own both and I also recommend 3 Kingdoms Redux
Also thank you for your top 100 list

Just out if interest, could you explain what you mean by artefacts?

@@BoardGameBollocks bold of you to say that Su&St videos are traditional
The worf image cracked me up!!!
🤣😂👍🏻
My wife and I love this game. Maybe our favorite Uwe? Maybe?
Thanks for the review, really enjoyed it! Quick question: you gave it 5 stars for 3 players, 4 stars for 4, and 3 for 5. How many stars for 2 players?
Tbh I’ve not played it at two for a very long time mate so let’s just say two to make it a royal flush, eh?
@@BoardGameBollocks this is the sort of technical deep analysis i've subscribed for
😂
My wife and I love it as a two player game, if that helps. Still takes us over 2 hours but it feels like time really well spent. Great game.
Cheers for this.
You’re welcome Dave 👍🏻
To me, it's like someone has stepped out of a Guy Ritchie movie to talk about board games. Absolute bollocks! Helpful reviews. Thanks!
👍🏻

Not played the app. Still unsure if digital games are legit board games or just video games.

What about 1 and 2 players?
Never played it solo
Any idea how this plays at 2P? Do you think it's worth shelling out $75 bones for 2p folks like us?
Not for 75…that’s way too much.
@@BoardGameBollocks Games seem overpriced here in Canada. Almost any game I buy starts at $59.99 and goes up from there.
This one was £35 here. Not sure what that translates to.
That's $60 canadian.
Hmmm…it plays best with 3 tbh. Agricola is the Rosenberg game that’s great with 2. I’m guessing you already have that one though…
For me: Uwe´s best. Great at two players.
Why is this guy whispering to me.
He’s whispering at you mate
