Better buy used car/mobiles/house/furniture cultivate only 5 acres from 10 acres but never ever borrow on interset, many people loose their lives because of disputes during recovery and there is only loss and no barkah in interest money.

At least you can have peace of mind. I know someone who wonders every day if he will go to hell because of riba though he had no choice because there was no Islamic bank here. Even if the Islamic bank secretly collects riba, on judgment day you can defend yourself by saying that you don't know, while my friend is afraid that God will say to him, "You know it is riba but choose it anyway."
As far as I know Islamic banking basically means the bank acts as an intermediary to buy the asset, which is then sold to the customer, plus profit. The customer buys the asset with deferred payments. That in itself is "not" interest but basically it's just called something else instead which works more or less the same in the end...what am I missing here?
Yes u are correct, it is still riba but in a disgusting way. Why?! The price is inflated if u purchase it in a specific timeframe, so it still loan and profit are made via time and capital. Even the bank dont even have homes at the first place, so bank doesn't bear the risk of stocks failing to sell like normal traders do in the market, only potential profit to be made at almost no risk at all. I live in Malaysia and islamic banking is rampant here fooling my fellow people in drove.. pathetic
Alhamdulillah.. What is most important is the source of funding to establish Islamic Banking.. It is like planting a tree that starts from its 'seed', not from the branches of 'any existing tree'.. It must be independent from the stock market where it cannot be manipulated by whatsoever sentiment in order to force changes to the agreement including hidden charges.. Islamic finance must be of a buying & selling nature, set its value for a period of time without any changes to the agreed selling price.. Must not be oppressive & accordingly pay in installments when the customer faces a problem by giving space while lowering the installment to an agreed rate so that the customer is able to strengthen his economy & return to the payment schedule as usual.. Hopefully Muslims will gradually taste the sweetness of faith after successfully upholding the religious teachings in fact, insha'Allah..

Stay as far away from riba as you can, I always knew riba was haram, but I was uneducated upon it, until I educated myself on it just recently, and finally realized what riba really is that I pray to Allah that I stay far away from riba in all forms.
This is how islamic banking system works in kuala lumpur. We purchase a house for 100k, we pay the islamic bank for 200k under the guise of buying/selling. Which the total cost is on par with conventional ribawi banks, or much more expensive. Whats the point? We muslims are being laugh at by non muslims If the islamic bank in malaysia is truly islamic, 1 whole malaysia will change into islamic banking

And they take the same interest (if not more) than non-islamic banks, but not at the beginning. There however could be country-to-country differences. But the idea of an Islamic Banking, as great as it seems, mot followed by the rule as we all hope for. Maybe some countries are doing it correctly, but that’s my experience with them
