    Hi Dal, thanks for making new videos for the updated spec, I've been trying to find some behavioural economics videos for a while now. Is there any chance you can make more videos about planning essays/chains of analysis/evaluative skills? This would really help me with my exam technique. And thanks for all your videos so far :D

    Could you make a video on institutional economics and how it could and shoud change government policy too, please? If not, could you drop me a message instead. It would be greatly appreciated!

  • @alexandercahill-smith4873

    Dal, I was just wondering with the framing/ nudge idea- if you make sure firms show the true fat/sugar content on their labelling, would that not be a shove? i.e you're forcing them to show the sugar/fat content.

    • @thatlad27
      @thatlad27 Před 6 lety +8

      the point of behavioural is to not remove the consumers freedom of choice, so by putting the fat and sugar content it nudges the consumer into choosing a healthy option without removing freedom of choice

    • @zain1878
      @zain1878 Před rokem

      @@thatlad27 so limiting a firms choice not to do this does not make it into a shove policy, only if it affected the consumers freedom of choice?

    • @ViralClipsTube
      @ViralClipsTube Před rokem

      You may be seeing it more from a producers point of view rather than a consumers point of view. Behavioural economics in this context apply to consumer choices, not "economic agents" as a whole.
      Thus, not quite. But that can be argued in the producers pov for sure.

      No, as long as you explained what you meant I think you should be fine. I talked about advertisement about the negative health effects of food, and like putting unhealthy foods such as chips on the top shelf, and healthy food closer to the consumer when they come to a shop
