Also... in the anime it doesn't show that he can fire multiple tapes from one elbow. In the manga, at the Provisional Hero License Exam he defended Izuku from a back attack by Toga (Camie) launching 3 tapes simultaneously.
It seems he also has some degree of control over the "course" the tape takes... as it enrols over things the way he deems fit. And this seems to be something that people tend to not notice.
The anime literally showed it the exact same way in that scene fam

In the English version, when the dorm competition was up, I remember when Jirou told him that she really wouldn't have expected him to be a good inside decorator/designer, he answered "yep that's me always the wildcard" or something along those lines. Pretty sure Horikoshi didn't make him say that for nothing, the guy has so much potential and H was trying to give a hint about Sero's personality and role. Gosh I love this man (both H and Sero lmao)
We need more “ridiculous” quirks. I can’t stop thinking about how many people are in the world, and thinking about how many people must have a quirk like Endeavour for example. Introduce weird and unique quirks like earphone jack, tape and... mineta’s quirk. I love the episode where bakugo, todoroki and the 2 others who failed the exam teaches the kids to behave, because the Whole theory about quirks getting more and more complex like the kid with a tank-tongue is exactly how i would imagine a hero class looking.

fire resistant, electricity resistant and cut resistant tapes. maybe also elastic tape (one end could be glued to a building and the other to a villan, result would be villan crashing into the building) - that could solve his lack of offensive moves.

Honestly, Hanta Sero (on Christmas, Santa Hero) is one of my favorite characters (Iida and Tsuyu are some too), if not, my favorite PERIOD. He's friendly, charismatic, brave, caring, and much more things. I honestly wish that we can see his past and how he came to say "You see that hero? That'll be me one day too!"
I really hope to see that character development that he so rightfully deserves. GO, SERO! YOU GOT THIS!

So, his upgrades boils down to controlling stickiness on each side, the tape resistance and maybe its transparency ...
I think the best ways to apply it would be:
- Making some tape almost transparent with maximum stickiness on both sides, to make the ultimate trapping setup.
- And, for combat purposes, removing all the stickiness making the tape the most strong possible, hopefully making them hard as metal and becoming make shift blades. Best case scenario, he would be able to emulate the Attack on Titan Blades.

Hanta Sero is awesome he’s one of my favourite characters in MHA I just love his design and his funny quirk 😂
Spiderman was written to be a solo hero, so he had to be able to do a bit of everything. MHA is meant to be an ensemble hero team, so the idea is you have some characters who are powerhouses but lack mobility, and some are mostly detection or reconnisanse, or some like Sero are all about escaping or restraining things without hurting them, or indeed carrying around slower teammates or transporting objects quickly, filling in the gaps that the powerhouses aren't fast enough to manage.
And before anyone points out Deku or Bakugou: Deku's power is usntable and always prone to something going wrong because of the nature of OFA, so he'll always need more modest but stable heroes to back him up. And while Bakugou's Quirk is seemingly flawless for Combat, he can't do much with it outside of combat: it's too volatile or dangerous for most delicate rescue operations, and even lift and carry is hard for him since he needs his hands to rocket. Even characters like Shoto who CAN use their immense power in delicate ways are hampered by close quarters or situations where the surrounding area is delicate.

I have ideas: I just love looking at weak characters and making thhem strong..i'm seeing sero evolution to have whip attacks and also some fast swinging movements..then with support item he can turn his tape into steel like tape..for some painful whipping strikes..also he develops flexibility of the tape into his body where he insanely dodges attacks like a tape and also can control many types of tapes just like viper snakes..that just my ideas though..
Quirks like tape are superior to destructive quirks for they can subdue enemies without causing significant collateral damage or having the risk of killing. If you think about it, Bakugo and Mina have to pull their punches and dance around the potential risk of killing their opponents. The only two things that are limiting Sero is tape strength and the natural latency when applying tape. When I mean latency I mean that it takes an unfortunate amount of time to execute any actions with tape. To move, Sero needs to shoot tape and let it attach to something. Only then he could swing himself. Compare this to Bakugo's instantaneous propulsion.

when they were coming up with super move in class
i though his were gonna be like a *Tape grenade*, a yarnball of tape, on contact when thrown it all unravel around its target trap them in a circular tape cage. and like one of those knot where the more you pull the tighter it get. so if they try to punch through it it will ''re-unravel'' and insta wrap them into mummy. an instant immobile his target. can make the Tape Grenade in advance and store them for use (like Bakugo bomb)

You gotta remember that quirks are biological abilities that can be improved. In general Sero could probably improve the stickiness or durability of his tape. I probably also has a unique organ/muscle structure in his arms that controls the ejection speed of the tape.
Lastly, (this might just be an animation thing), but in the Sport Festival, Sero uses it to catch Bakugo and the tape moves in a way that implies he can use it like an extended arm. If that is the case, then Sero could use his quirk to attack around corners.
Sero could possibly use magnetic boots as a support item to make him more like the friendly neighborhood Wallcrawler.
His upgraded version would be he can switch what ever tape he can use but has a time limit to use them

he could wrap his hands like a boxer to increase his punching power...but not like a boxing glove but the hand wraps that go under the gloves..medical uses are also up there....also if you layer up duct tape thick enough it becomes bullet proof he could make armor for him or others

Sero should be number 1 hero. Heck he might not need to make special tape for the medical applications, knew a guy that actually sawed his leg a bit and he just use duct tape as the band-aid.
Can Yayorozu make Sero’s tape? Doses it take nutrition from him like Tetsutetsu with iron or Iida with orange juice? What is it even made out of? So may questions?!?!

the simple momentum control that he has is super strong he probably would be a ridiculous offensive/support hero, imagine him making deku move even quicker.
yea and the multiple tape ideas is a super easy way to go with how his quirk can evolve. makes a lot of sense. he is a great jack of all trades.
Remember Heirophant Green's supermove in fight with Dio. Technically Sero can do the same. It can be useful for trapping or finding enemies on pretty big range with tapevibrations.

I like Hanta too. Do you have any idea how useful tape can be? It’s strong enough to lifted a car, granted, you need a shit ton. But still, a car...A CAR! Something that’s easy to tear with your hand can LIFT A CAR! If tape was a person, it would be our superhero. And Hanta is that hero. With enough training, he can shoot his tape Spider-Man style. He can save a person whose stuck in a hole. He can setup traps. No need for handcuffs, he’s got that shit covered. He can build a boat, he can build a small plane. He’s the #1 Employee of a packaging company....Ladies....he has tape...😉😉
